I like Jimmy Stewart and theres no one well thank goodness theres no one like him and never will there be one. When I think of Jimmy I always associate him with the Hitchcock movies. Well, I came across "It's A Wonderful Life" on DVD at one of the public libraries, brought it home watched it cause I never saw it when it came on TV few times. This is one good movie well for how it was then. My favorite scence is the dance/jitterbug scence. A guy who came to the dance w/ Donna Reed wanted to get even w/ Jimmy Stewart for taking Reed away from him. The floor that the dance was at double as a swimming pool. And when Reed & Stewart were dancing the floor opened up & it was weird that EVERYONE stopped except Reed & Stewart. And each time they came close to the edge the crowd got wild. Well they eventually fell in along with a few of the crowd who just jumped in for just the heck of it.... I just could'nt help laughing.....

I really took a disliking to Mr Henry Potter!
I already could tell by the pace when Jimmy Stewart wanted tofullfill his dreams he's forced to put it on hold cause something happens But Jimmy Stewart manages to hold on to the bank that Potter doesnt own yet in the town. But not to get into a long story here....
The movie kinda forgets about the $8,000 Mr Potter got by accident from Uncle Billy & tries to have Stewart arrested for mismanagement.... But leaving that part up in the air....It's a Wonderful Life is a 8/10......

Ahh, It's a Wonderful Life.......

I fucking LOVE this movie! Funny, moving, touching, great performances and dialogue. Jimmy Stewart shines, the ultimate movie to watch when you're unhappy. 10/10

Well, I live in a house and I've never seen it either. I know what it is though. It's the "every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wing" movie.

SPOILERS!

Noooooooo Mike. I wouldnt make that assumption. What I got out of the movie is Stewart's character had plans to do w/ his life but for odd unforseen circumstances a part of him keeps him behind in the town that he grew up in.
And when the "shit" hit the fan Stewart couldnt remedy what was happening and resorts to jumping off the bridge & ending it all........

Do yourself a favour and rent it this holiday season; this is one of those movies that can actually make a huge impact on a person's life.

P.S. Cave, Minnesota...same difference.;)

A great film, great performances, but after the 10th or so viewing it can get a little saccarine. Still, I'd recommend it as the ideal holiday movie.

And remember..."whenever a schmoe watches 'It's a Wonderful Life', and angel gets it wings..." ;)
