These are rumors I certainly didn't know about, taken from Xtreme Horror.com These are not direct quotes, I just rewrote some of what is said - the originals are too long to post.
First is the prequel to Halloween 4, the original source being cinescape magazine, stating that Halloween 3: season of the witch would be completely redone. Celluloid shocker says Mustapha Akkad was interviewed by cinescape magazine last week and it was confirmed that a new halloween was in the works. Not as a part 9, but as a prequel to 4.
Second is there is going to be another child's play (source Brad Douriff)
Bradley announces Hellraiser 7 and 8 have finished production and are 2 different films

With the upcoming Freddy vs. Jason due in theaters this summer and a new book regarding the making of the entire series hitting stores this fall, Warner has announced that they will release a new Friday the 13th Special Edition DVD. There’s only once catch though - it’s only available overseas! (Paramount maintains the home video distribution rights here in the U.S.) The disc will feature extras such as an international cut of the film, a new documentary "Return to Crystal Lake," highlighting new interviews with director Sean S. Cunningham, stars Adrienne King and Betsy Palmer, screenwriter Victor Miller, and more. There have been no plans thus far for any special edition releases here in the states. That means you’ll have to get your hands on those multi-region players until Paramount gives in. Keep in mind to check back here frequently to catch what’s new.
