Was going to rent today, but..

I was at a pawnshop and found Alice Sweet Alice for $2.50. Liked it the first time I rented it, so I couldn't refuse. I don't know if I'd exactly consider it horror, but it gets mentioned on the horror boards often enough, and it's quite strange.

Alice Sweet Alice is an americanized giallo but a very good - one.
It is well acted, especially the little girl who plays Alice.
Unfortunately it was a one - shot movie for Alfred Sole.
The atmosphere is disturbing and unsettling.
There is not a lot of gore but the murder - scenes are well filmed .
The music and the directing is very good.
A very good film : 8/10

I agree. I think the girl that plays Alice plays the young girl in S. King's Rose Red.

I don't think it's the same girl. Too much time has passed in between the two movies--at least 20 years or more. Remember it was one of Brooke Shields first movies, so it had to be late 70's or early 80's for Alice, Sweet Alice to have been released. There is a resemblance between the 2 actresses though. Peace....

you gota get that man thats a awsome movie, i meen you think its gunna suck like a good suck, buttheres no suckyness its what i call a how do you say a gem, plus i like it more cause it was made 20 mins from me in NJ i dunno why nj dont make more movies like that all we got here is kevin smith wanna bes so yeah RENT IT or take it for me and BUY IT

and if you find you self thinking the girls hot its alright cause shes like 16 but she looks 13 you know what iam saying you gota get that stuff

I think there's another thread about it, but...I really love this movie...I have a copy I pull out and watch a couple times a year....just a damn good movie, passable acting, a couple great plot twists and some really fucked up scenes...

good for a few scares and whole lot of fun ;)
