Tales from the Darkside: The Movie

I rented this today (i never seen the original Tv series, they never aired in my country) .

I wanted to ask you guys opinion just to know what to expect.

I LOVE this movie. It's definitely my favourite horror anthology. It has more than a few creepy moments, and an amazing cast. Julianne Moore! Debbie Harry! Steve Buscemi! William Hickey! And so forth.

The third story, Lover's Vow, is easily the best, but the other two are great fun also. I love the very end of the second one.

Anyway, great movie, hope you enjoy it!

I actually just watched this in it's entirety for the first time to review it on the site.

Not as atmoshperic as the "Creepshow" films, but definitely worth a look.

I too think the last story was the best, but in the beginning of the story I thought it was stupid. It was the ending that rocked my world, the transformation was awesome!

This movie gets both yeahs and nays from me. Personally I loathe Julianne Moore and thought the mummy story was as boring as all hell. Some of the stories were more entertaining than others, and yes, the ending wasn't a let down.

My favorite tales from the darkside, I have seen 2 of them, was either 4 or 5 I believe - the one with clive barkers short story of the yattering jack. Excellent stories in that one, definitely prefer it over the original.

Anyone know how many were made in total? Sounds like something I need to add to my collection sometime.

Well I saw it .


The first story was awfull. Boring as hell, stupid deaths( the second death ..... Not funny). The only good thing was seeing Steve Buscemi in a very early role.

The second story was fun . It was funny and the gory surprise in the end make worthwhile

The last story was the best . Great effects and gore and also very touching .

In the overall a good movie.

I had forgotten about the last story! Yes that was the best one, a more unusual plot line.

Yes sorry to distort your view of the world ;) I dont like her in any movie Ive seen her in, there's something about her that really rubs me the wrong way.
