...ends with Jason getting an axe in his head in a barn?

I want to see that one to a friend, but I can't for the life of me remember which one it is! Help!

I believe that is part 3. I could be wrong though.

It's Part 3. Jason gets hung and then gets down. The women then chops him in the head with the axe. Hope your friend likes it.

I got it today - I just love that ending, shame about the rest of the film. Way too "by numbers". :(

My friend liked it, though he likes Jason X better. *SHOCK HORROR*

I liked the ending of part 3 as well better than the other 3 endings that they originally came up with.

Trivia: Isn't Part 3 the only Friday the 13th in which no character ever says "Jason"?

I know I said 3 other endings and I was wrong it was actually 2 other endings instead when I checked a few web sites.

The other endings they came up with were: When Chris kills Jason, but instead of being attacked by Ms. Voorhees in the water. Chris axes Jason in the head and lays in the canoe. The night becomes dawn and Chris goes back into the cabin walk up to the front door and opens it and Jason is standing there with the axe in his hand. He grabs Chris by the hair and cuts her head off with one swipe.

The other ending they came up with was the same as the other instead when Chris opens the door it is Ali(The black biker) who pops out and scares her. The paramedics show up and never find Jason's body.

I don't know if they actually shot these endings or not but there were a few cut scenes.

Vera's death was filmed longer and had more blood and her reaction to it. It was cut because the MPAA said it looked "too real"

Andy's death scene had more blood and a better shot of his body falling down which runs a few seconds longer.
