Basically I am a Star Trek freak/nerd/loser or whatever you wish.

I am asking all us fans to unite and try to stump each other.

In order to keep it going, if no one answers within a day or two, the questioneer would most kindly give a hint or two. ;)

Here's an easy one.

What is the name of Data's pet cat?

Who is Data's creator?

This might be an easy one... In the pilot episode, which race did Admiral McCoy think Lieutenant Commander Data sounded like?

dannywalker17

Vulcan?

Dietrich
04-28-2003, 05:55 PM
I think Vulcan is correct..

So I can ask a question now? Yes? Yes?

What is the name of Riker's 'double'?

What tune was Data humming when he first met Commander Riker.

crook38

he was whistling the tin man's song from wizard of oz,which i always thought was a great little joke.

Q.How did they manage to defeat the borg in the "best of both worlds" story where picard had been assimalated?

edonline
05-01-2003, 07:22 PM
With a clue from Locutus/Picard, Data implemented a sleep cycle into the Borg. I don't know recall how/if the Enterprise destroyed the Borg ship once all of the Borg entered the sleep phase though. But since I got most of it correct...

What is the name of Lwaxana Troi's manservant and why did she have to get rid of her previous one?

Nope. It was pop goes the weasel. Riker had to finish for him, and he said, "How easily humans do that."

Lwaxana Troi's servant is Mister Homm. She had to get rid of her previous manservant because "he was thinking all sorts of lustful thoughts about me".

I'll let you give the next question...

I can't think of the other guest star offhand.

(I wonder, though, if the other Riker candidate was a guest from TNG's 2nd year, could it have been pre-Rocketeer William Campbell, who guest starred in "The Outrageous Okona?")

What 2 TNG episodes were originally scripts for the proposed Star Trek: Phase II series(before plans for that show were aborted for the Trek films-due to the success of Star Wars)?

Buck Turgidson

Campbell it was. (Teri Hatcher is in that episode, also, looking quite foxy in her Starfleet uniform...)

The first two episodes from the 2nd season, The Child (which I have always liked) and Where Silence Has Lease were leftover scripts.

Yes, "The Child" was 1 script, but "Devil's Due" was the other(although perhaps "Where Silence Has Lease" was a third, I just heard that the 2 aforementioned episodes were the only Star Trek: Phase II scripts).

Ro served on the Wellington before she & Picard crossed paths.

My 12...

1. Robert April (Preceeded Pike. He's featured in an animated episode, and listed in the Star Trek Encyclopedia.)

2. Christopher Pike

3. James T. Kirk

4. Will Decker (The guy Stephen Collins played in "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", He was the commisioned Captain when Admiral Kirk came on board and assumed command.)

5. Spock (Had the seat at the beginning of "Star Trek II")

6. Harriman (or Captain Cameron, as we like to call him... ) from the Enterprise B

7. Rachel Garrett, from the Enterprise C

8. Jean Luc Picard

9. William T. Riker (Received the field promotion to Captain when Picard was Locutus, and also the various alternate Capt. Riker's from "Paralells")

10. The "Tapestry" guy.

11. Jellico (They had the whole transfer ceremony. "Get that fish outta my ready room...")

12. Jonathan Archer, the Scott Bakula character from "Enterprise".

What I don't understand is why they would let "Enterprise" destroy part of the Star Trek legacy.

Sorry, the show may be great, dramactic, funny, brilliant; but in my opinion, ruined Star Trek.

That ties for the scene in which Picard tries to control the flood of emotion from Sarek as my favorite Star Trek moment.

BTW, to throw in some trek talk along with trivia, what did eeryone think about Nemesis?

I personally thought that it was the best Trek film since Wrath of Khan.

I LOVED Tom Hardy as Shinzon, he added such an evil presence to the movie, and Shinzon/Picard scenes made me reminisce of the great Khan/Kirk feud.

I was hoping he might get a nod for Best Supporting Actor, but...ohh well. :)

Buck Turgidson

He never came back from being Locutus. I don't know if they specified that he was killed in a counter attack while still with the Borg or if he died after they successfully recaptured him.

That was a wonderful moment with the alternate Riker telling "our" Picard it was good to see him again. Only in SF.

What's the name of the shipyards off of Mars where the Enterprise was built (along many other Starfleet ships) ?

BONUS QUESTION:

A couple of tough Voyager questions, just for the hell of it.

robk
06-14-2003, 11:11 AM
The Enterprise(along with other Starfleet ships) was built at the Utopia Planitia shipyards on Mars.

Voyager's original First Officer was identified simply as Lt. Cmdr. Cavit before he was 'convieniently' killed off, along with the ship's doctor & chief engineer(neither of whom was given a name). I can't recall who played him, though.

I thought Nemesis was entertaining enough. I especially loved the fact that Riker & Troi were married. We also got to finally see the Remans(until then, they were merely mentioned in the Original Trek episode "Balance of Terror"). However, as TNG's final journey, it was quite a bummer-& not in the good way that A.I. & Minority Report were. I thought the film needed a more positve vibe like "All Good Things..."
Tom Hardy was fine as Shinzon, but Picard's best adversary is still Alice Krige's Borg Queen(with David Warner's Gul Madred a VERY CLOSE second).

Scott Jaeck is the actor's name. He turns up occasionally when someone at County General has to go upstairs to Radiology on ER and he's Paige (Rose McGowan) Matthews' Whitelighter father on Charmed. He was also a village elder in the classic TNG episode Inner Light.

The ship was a Class D-12 Bird of Prey & it was retired from service because of defective plasma coils.
