(NFL Fans) What the hell does Mel Kiper Jr. DO?!

I was watching the draft the other day and it made me wonder..what does "draft guru" Mel Kiper Jr. do for a living? I mean he only seems to work a couple days a year, how does he support his family?. After the draft is over do they stick him in a trunk until next year? I wonder how one goes about becoming a "draft guru". I don't think they have courses for this in college. Seriously though does anyone know if he does anything else besides this?

I don't think Mel does much else than this. He is a very smart football guy. He started out in his Mother's basement passing out his draft reports and just grew from there.

He does some rreporting for ESPN. And he runs a monthly mag, if I'm not mistaken. (I often am) But I couldn't care less what he does. He doesn't explain anything very well. I prefer the regular reporters, because they tend to elaborate more than Kiper.

Mel Kiper Jr. is a very knowledgeable expert about the top prospects for NFL teams in the draft every year. I just want to know, who was Mel Kiper Sr.?

Kiper is the only person I know that actually does his hair to make it appear that he is wearing a horrible toupee. Kiper in my opinion is a complete jackass. I'm not saying all his projections are wrong but he has become a bit full of himself.
