You know what I'm talking about...
~Alex DeLarge, eyes focused, head slightly bowed, and the most sinister smirk on his kipper.
~Jack Torrance, axe in hand, hair slightly dishevelled, delirious open-mouthed grin and a twinkle in his eye.
~Andy Dufresne...kneeling in the lashing rain...arms wide and welcoming.
I'm sure you dig.
Anyway...post examples, and piccy's would be a bonus...:)

Can't be arsed posting pics but my iconic images are:
Jack Nicholson holding on to the back of the bike in Easy Rider, sans huge Stars & Stripes helmet.
Reservoir Dogs walking down the alleyway.
James Dean walking on the boulevard of broken dreams.
Marilyn Monroe holding down her skirt.
Jimmy Cagney screaming to the heavens 'made it ma...etc'
Dorothy linking arms with Scarecrow, etc, on the yellow brick road.
Sissy Spacek staring in apopleptic rage as she realises that everyone is laughing at her blood-stained phizog - Carrie.
Von Sydow staring up at the light from Regan's bedroom window - The Exorcist.
Martin Sheen emerging from the water, covered in grease-paint, in Apocalypse Now.
Star-child from 2001.
ET's finger touching Elliot's.

* Charles Foster Kane speaking in front of that giant backdrop photo of himself in his ill-fated attempt at the Governor's chair.
* Hannibal Lecter, standing ramrod straight in his cell, when Agent Starling first lays eyes on him.
* Bobby D. having the little confab w/ the imaginary hoodlum in his mirror in Taxi Driver.

Chow Yun Fat firing two guns in extreme slow-mo during the final shootout in the church in THE KILLER. (including the obligatory white pigeons)
The extreme closeups of Henry Fonda's and Charles Bronson's eyes in ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST.
Robert De Niro killing Don Fanucci in THE GODFATHER PART II.
Charles Chaplin's dance with the blow-up globe in THE GREAT DICTATOR.
and I love this haunting pic from NOSFERATU:

Simple imagery from Woo is something I used to like more then I do now, but I still like some of it (though the doves thing is getting old, it was very effective in the Killer).
I also really liked the shot of CYF with the ashes of a cigarette in A Better Tomorrow.
There are tons of things I love in Leone's films and others as well, just I felt like mentioning something newer.
