The Toxic Avenger Part II

I picked this movie up the other day (hey, it was buy one, get one free!), but it's the R-rated cut. How much debauchery will I be missing out on? I halfheartedly dug the original and I'm actually expecting to despise this sequel. It may need gratuitous gore/nudity to keep me awake, so I was just wondering if it was recklessly raped of its sleaze factor.

Llyod Kaufman said on the commentary of the unrated version that there was quit a bit cut out of the R rated verison. I liked Part 2 but it is not as graphic or as offensive as the original even in its unrated verion. It is Tromas best looking film. The lighting isn't the standard Troma subpar crap. The fight choreography is good as well (at least for Troma). It s a good time but doesn't pack the sick punch as newer Troma films.

I have a rule:
I never ever ever buy/rent an r-rated Troma release ;)))

I'm a hardcore Tromavillian and have been known to ask my local video store if they could pretty please order the unrated version for me o special order ;)

but of course, now with them selling most of their titles from their website, I own probably 70% of their movies :)

Bummer. Well, I might be able to endure it. I should've just waited to see it until I invested in The Tox Box, but such is life.

You should just skip out on 2 and 3... (They aren't really good... Neither is Kabuki Man) and just by Citizen Toxie, from what I hear it's the best Troma movie EVER! And it has been sold out at Troma.com for over a month.

Yeah, I found the first and second Toxic Avengers to be pretty good. The third one on the other hand... blah. Third was pretty bad.

I have yet to see 4. I can't wait.

I've got all three unrated cuts of the Toxic Avenger Movies (quick question how do I activate Lloyd's commentary track on Toxic Avenger 1?) and I just bought the Unrated Director's Cut Collector's two-disk set of Citizen Toxie and it blows the others away, I actually like Citizen Toxie more than I do the first Toxic Avenger movie. The Apocalypse Soon documentary on the second disk is an incredibly honest and uncensered look at how movies are made.

i am a huge troma fan, so i actually dig all of the Toxic Avenger movies, parts 2and 3 had lots of good gore and stuff in it, plus the guy who plays satan was pretty good
