Im not 100% sure about this but doesn't Peter and Mary Jane get married in the comic books. I knew they'd incorporate this into the movies but I didn't think it would be this early in the series.

They are married in the comics and have been since the early 90s, cant remember what exact issue but they are hitched, actually right now they are separated and having marital problems. :D

In the comics didn’t Mary Jane only marry Peter Parker’s clone, and the real Peter Parker thought he was the clone, and years of Spiderman comics were just about the clone who thought he was really Peter Parker. And the clone stopped being Spiderman to be with Mary Jane because she was pregnant, while the real Peter Parker took back his role as Spiderman (this whole clone storyline confused the hell out of me)

That confused me too! I hated that storyline. I was just like "..." Anyway, the movie will obviously have some different storylines.

Everyone hated the Clone storyline. It sucked so much, and was so confusing, that it was one of the main reasons Marvel almost went bankrupt -- people stopped buying Spider-Man comic books, and when I say stopped, I mean fuckin' stopped!

I guess it's a possibility MJ will marry Pete as an ending to AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, but that looks too plain for a wedding dress to me. Maybe a party dress, or a bridesmaid dress, or something...wait and see.
