well i am prepared for my bashing /ubb/smile.gif i havent been to the movies since scream 3 came out in my city....although i would love to see hallow man, so does my hubby and that presents a problem..what to do with the kids???? wait for video i guess....

*hangs my head in shame for being such a lame movie buff*

on the bright side, maybe during his days off i can "go to the grocery store" for a few hours...hehehehe yvonne

Chicken Run was cool and I liked Gladiator overall, but for me the highlight so far of the year (bear in mind I'm in the UK) is High Fidelity.

Movies with such a deep involvement with music are rare and ones with consistently great scenes are rarer. This film knocked them dead in both categories. Definitely a keeper. /ubb/smile.gif

I loved High Fidelity and it is my second best film so far this year (after Wonder Boys). But I didn't think it was a summer movie, and if it is, then it is definetly my best of the summer, and it is the only summer film that goes on my best list so far this year. I have seen a lot of movies this summer and most of them are ok, a few are good, and a few really suck, but besides High Fidelity I don't think there is a single really good, or great movie the entire summer. :sighs: Oh, well maybe The Cell will reach (and hopefully exceed) my expectations.

My five favorite movies this summer in no particular order were Scary Movie, X-Men, Hollow Man, The Patriot, and well I liked M.I 2. Movie's that I thought really really sucked were Boys and Girls, Loser( Biggs is terrible) the only good thing from him was American Pie, I also didn't like Cayote(spelling)Ugly. That movie had no redeeming value AT ALL, maybe if they all ended up naked I would of liked it a lot more.
