this is my favorite horror movie. It has good acting, the awesome Tarman Zombie, and Linnea Quigleys boobs and hiney. I figured i would start a thread on it because it desrves one, and get you all to say what you think of this classic.

not my favorite horror film of all time but surely one of the best of the 80's and in the zombie genre in general.

its nothing better then average or okay.....the comedic tone doesnt do it for me,i like more serious approached films.it was an okay watch, and an okay way to waste 90 minutes...but nothing more, and still to this day i still cant seem to find the clues as to why many think linnea quigley is hot.

ROTLD is fun, but the shrill characters grated my nerves. Quigley's cemetery dance is pure class.

Cool movie with my favorite line, "you mean the movie lied?" The beginning, with the 2 warehouse workers talking about the wierdest stuff they'd seen is the moment that sucks you into the movie. Funny, gross (split dogs), and original, this is a great zombie flick.

I like it too, not my favourite, but it has a lot of funny lines (rabid weasels) and neat zombies (tarman).

About Quigley, I don't think she's pretty at all, and the little dance in the graveyard was completely unnecessary, though funny sometimes.

i didnt necessarily think linnea looked so hot in that weird red hair, but she has a nice body and is still hot

This is one of those films that I saw when I was a kid and didn't remember much until I saw the whole thing in February. I loved it! It sure kicks Day of the Dead's ass in my book. Tarman is definitely a scene-stealer. When I was younger, I thought he was some kind of mummy. The part where he's "sleeping" in the cannister makes him look like one. Excellent soundtrack, too. Partytime by 45 Grave, Burn the Flames by Roky Erikson, the morbidly sweet Tonight(Make Love Til We Die) by SSQ, and my personal favorite The Surfin' Dead by the Cramps.

4/4

that was Suicide, played by actor Mark Venturrini.
I heard he was killed in an accident on a set of a movie he was making.

Yeah,he was my favorite character and the best actor in that film.He had potential to become a bigtime movie bad guy and bad ass villain in van damme and seagal type action flicks, and the bad boy type of horror flicks.

This is by far one of the best zombie movies ever made. The soundtrack is just killer, the acting is great, and the zombies are the best looking than in anyother living dead movie. I like part 2 and 3 but they cant live up to the first one. Spider has to be my favorite. He always has something cool to say! Didn't he play in Scooby Doo?

Yeah, Miguel Nunez, Jr. was the Voodoo guy in Scooby Doo. When I first saw Spider in the film back in February, I was like "Hey I've seen that guy in a lot of things." I think that Miguel and James Karen are the only ROTLD alumni to still star in mainstream movies.

i love return of the living dead. my favorite character was scuzz (i'm probably the only one). i also wanted to smack tina throughout the entire movie. she pisses me off. and i don't know what the big deal is about linnea quigley...i didn't think she was all that pretty in the movie...i also met her at chiller theater this year...the years have not been kind to her...looks like someone stepped on her face.

aside from Tarman, my favorite character is Burt. I dont know, burt and spider didnt take any of the zombies shit.

also did you know that brian peck (scuz) also played the zombie that it first shows crawling throught the ground (the ant farm zombie) and he was the zombie in part 2 that got his face bashed in by the red-headed chick

Miguel Nunez Jr. is a very funny actor, there was this one movie he was in that was downright helarious (Not Juwanna Mann)but the name slips my mind right now.. My favorite lines to ROTLD are as follows.

"Help me board up the doors!!! DUMB MOTHER FUCKERS!!!"
-Spider

"What do you think this is? You think this is a fucking costume? It's a way of life! Get off me have some fucking respect for the dead!"
-Suicide

A great scary, funny movie with cool ending and theme music...
but that whole zombies-can-talk thing was a bit silly.....Though...a great movie.

Yeah but if they didn't talk we all wouldn't have been walking around in the late 80's going....."Brains, Brains, Brains"
What? Am I the only one?

im kinda glad in ROTLD the zombies talked and it WAS the first zombie movie they craved brains, it set them apart from the Romero zombies and made them scarier

Well I don`t actually like that brains, brains stuff.......For me the best thing that came because of the zombies` language skills was the line "Send more paramedics!"

But I like the cheesy aspect of the talking zombies.

I still to this day use quotes from that wonderful movie, actually almost every single day I can be heard saying "I hit the fucking brain!"

I thought the movie was goofy fun. And it's sad to hear that the years haven't been kind to Ms. Quigley. I always liked both her and Brinke Stevens.

That's my favourite quote from the film! I always piss myself laughing at that scene.
