I love both of the creepshow movies, you can tell stephen king and tom savini and them liked the old EC Tales from the Crypt comics.

my favorite from the first was the Crate monster

and the hitchiker one from part 2 was good and creepy .

The first one still to this day freaks me out...However the 2nd one is just Fun to watch! The Raft is my all time favorite...every summer we go camping to this lake and it has a Raft like that and that's all I can think of now.

seen the second, unintentionally hillarious, I don't know why it has such a fan following so it seems even bigger than the first, do you like on a so bad it's good level? "the raft" c'mon you can't be serious!! the first story was boring ended just as stuff started happening and the last story just went on and on (just die already!!), I don't like the movie as you may notice, the first looks okay though

Creepshow is a fucking classic. The EC comic book vibe is captured flawlessly and there's never a dull moment. The sequel isn't nearly as memorable, but for what it's worth, it's mildly entertaining. "The Crate" is my favorite vignette from either film.

I can't remember the title, but the one where George Kennedy is the dead evil dad that wants his cake. It also has a really young looking Ed Harris in it. Camp and Creepy.

The Raft translates excellently from the story. Its one of the few adaptations where I can say "if you've seen the movie, you don't need to read the story".

My favorite story from both movies was Old Chief Woodenhead. I really like these creepy payback stories.

Not my favorites, but quite fun to watch. "Chief Woodenhead" is my favorite from both as well-a few good quotes there as well(although not horror quotes)-

The Raft was either from Skeleton Crew or Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

I think that The Raft translated very well from the short story to the big screen.

BTW, I have the Creepshow DVD, not much in the way of extras, but definately worth picking up. I'm keeping my eyes open for a Creepshow 2 DVD, has anybody come across one?

Creepshow is well up on my top ten list of favourite horror movies of all time. My favourite segment from the first is: 'Something To Tide You Over' and from the second: 'The Hitcher'.

Oh aye, Shatter, I managed to get a cheap copy of Creepshow2 on DVD from DVD Box Office.

Creepshow 1 and 2 are both solid horror flicks. The first has a unique style that the sequel can't mimic but the sequel creates it's own interesting style.

Creepshow- 9/10

Creepshow 2- 8/10

I thought the Creepshow comic didn't actually exist - with the exception of those used as props in the films.

:D I've never seen this movie but found it in a bargain bin for 5.88 at Walmart today as a DVD. (part one) Bought it of course, as I recognized the name. I couldnt remember if it was well praised or not around here, glad it is. Will let you know what I think when I watch it. Love those short story things!

Anyone know which tales from the darkside has both a king story and a barker story, the yattering jack? I have seen it, loved it, but which one was it? How many tales from the darksides were there in total?

The cover of creepshow is really unique, would be a great cover for anything doing with horror movies ;)

Oh damn...$300?!! wow. I was looking for that comic forever also. Could never find it anywhere though. Until... I was in high school...they actually had it in the library! It was in hardcover though. the front had what I believe was the original poster artwork, the drawing of Billy reading the comic whith the creepy skeleton looking in through the window. OMG why did I return it?! I should have just paid the fee. It's long gone by now (I grad. in '97) Grrrrr

I haven't gotten around to seeing the second Creepshow yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed the first (especially the creepy zombies in it.) Great film!

I love both creepshow movies but I actually like the second one better. They all have good stories and a good atmosphere to them.

My favourite out of the the whole series would have to be The Raft. I remember when I first saw that it scared the living hell out of me. I just watched it a few days ago and it still does

THE CREEPSHOW is basicly E.C on in motion it's amazing and if you liked the segment horror idea check these films all by a film house called AMICUS:

MONSTER CLUB

TALES FROM THE CRYPT

ASYLUM

VAULT OF HORROR

FROM BEYOUND THE GRAVE

Also if you can get hold of it watch SCREAMTIME not AMICUS but is a segmented horror fest it has a macarbe MR.PUNCH no less.
