Those Funny Things in Life-Music Edition

I posted a similar thread in the General Movie Talk forum, but here goes:

My favorite guitarist (Jimmy Page), did not play for my favorite band (The Beatles).

My favorite bassist (John Entwistle), also did not play for my favorite band.

My favorite vocalist (Robert Plant), never sang for my favorite band.

My favorite drummer (Keith Moon), did not drum for my favorite band.

My favorite song (In My Time of Dying) was not by my favorite band.

My favorite lyricist (Bob Dylan), did not write any songs for my favorite band.

Out of my top three albums (Who's Next, Physical Graffiti, Blonde on Blonde), not one is by my favorite band.

I just thought that was weird. By all rights, The Beatles have no right being my favorite band. Yet they are. Anyone else have something like this?
