This years MTV Music Europe Awards will be held in, erm...Leith.

You know it's nice that MTV could find such a high class, prestigous, place to hold there awards.

Perhaps they could get Begbie to give out some of the awards.

are the proclaimers performing was'nt their first album called sunshine on leith,maybe they could open the show with a medly of their hits

I'm just amused by thinking of Irvine Welsh, who complains in porno that there are not many places in downtown edinburgh for the working class anymore, but he seems to forget he was the one who made leith fashonable, hence events like this and therefore the problem he sees is partly his fault.

As for the proclaimers all I can say is I feel a Mr Burns style shudder when I hear them. (although that is probably 'cos I'm a hearts fan and they play the proclaimers when hibs score at fester road)
