This was a pretty good slasher from Canada, it has this 80's feel and that is a very good point.
The photography is very good for a slasher movie, the murders are varied, it is not just stabings.
There is an atmosphere and I like the setting very much ( an old theater but it is not as good as Opera, of course )

I don't remember this film. Is there a clown in it ? Do you remember a film called "Out of the dark" or somethiong starring Divine as a detective hunting a killer disguised in clown and killing sex phone girls ? it was a good one too made in 89 I think. Au fait, Jason, T'es allé au festival de Bruxelles ?

Non je n'y suis pas aller, il faut absolument que j'y aille au moins une fois dans ma vie.
Il parait qu'il y'a une super ambiance !
No it is not Out Of The Dark ( own it, I am a huge slasher/giallo fan ) and of course there is a creepy clown involved.
It stars Christopher Plummer and the girl who plays Ashley in this tv show with Will Smith at Bel Air.

Is this Clown At Midnight with Christppher Plummer about the clown killing everybody in the opera house.
Persoanlly I didn't like this film but it had soem good laughs.
Provides a good drinking game. Take a shot every time the clown teleports between floors.

Cool death sequences, a cool '80s vibe, and a cool homicidal clown (I dare you to find me a homicidal clown who isn't cool). The film isn't without its faults, but I dug it as mindless entertainment.

Watched it once on the Sci-Fi channel. Was a decent clown film and generally entertaining overall. The theatre setting was a great idea and brought a lot of atmosphere with it.

I think I should've turned the mofo off after
Spoylez!
Kidder bit the big one..
Ever notice that Margot Kidder and Sue Johanson talk EXACTLY alike? They even have similar mouths.. its kind of frightening, really..

I actually enjoyed this movie. And I don't enjoy most slasher flicks.

I liked this movie, but it was pretty standard and average.
I wanna hear more about this Out of the Dark movie, I've never heard of it. Is Divine in full drag in this one? Gotta love that guy. RIP, Divine.

Out of the Dark is a cool 80s thriller with slasher overtones. THe plot isa bout phone sex girls company "suite Nothings" (run by Karen Black) These girls are beign targted by apervert who wears one hell of a creepy clown mak and calls himself Bobo. (You can tell I am a fan of this movie because I am using the killers name as my handle) Anyway, Bobo is killing them off in all manners of ways and they are pretty violent. Its a mystery because we don't know who's behind the mask till the end. The main character played by Camero Dye is under suspicion of being the killer and throughout the film he tries to clear his name.
Divine is NOT in drag. He appears in a brief cameo as a police detective Langella. And ignore anyone who says that Langella is the main cop who is after the killer. He isn't. This information is given on several websites. Langella is only in one scene and he is actually on a seperate case that has F all to do with Bobo.
It is also a very raunchy thiller. It features lots of heavy breathing phone calls and one hell of a steamy sex scene between the lead and his girlfriend.
I liked it a lot. I admit its not great but it never hurts to put on every once in a while
