I heard a lot of rumors about this movie being made. ¿Someone knows something about it?

Metroid is a popular videogame from Nintendo, about a female space bounty hunter called Samus Aran.

If they do it ... they better do it right ...
It could be a really great sci-fi pic

Could be one of the best action movies ever if done right. Think Aliens meets Terminators. Sadly if they did do one it would probably be a hack job and come out as lame, low budget crap.

It has potential to be really great movie, the only problem is that the game has almost no dialogue or character developement. If they add just a few human chacters and make sure the aliens don't look like CGI crap, it'll be great.

My suggestion is they should show Samus getting an assignment and going to fulfill it under one of the following circumstances:
A) She is assigned a partner
B) She encounters another human bounty hunter going after the same target. (I like this one more).

Either way, Samus would resent the other at first, then develope a meaningful relationship, then that character dies or is put in critical condition.

You gotta put Ridley in there somewhere, too.

The problem that i see is what producers/directors may do with the movie...

1.-Samus is a chick, so we need a hot actreess.
2.-But she wears too much armor.
3.-And as we know, sex sells.
4.-So we get rid of the armor so she can show more body.
5.-Fans wouldn't care anyway...

They'd have to slim down the armor because it looks cheesy in live action anyway, didn't you see those commercials for PRIME?

But seriously, she doesn't have to spend the whole movie inside of the suit, either, just when she's exploring the planet; and hey, battle-damage can be hot sometimes (Star Wars Ep. 2... oh yeah....).:p

I think the main thing that might bug fans is that the helmet would almost definately be transparent as opposed to that reflective green surface fans are used to.

I think most game to movie adaptations are quickly hyped, quickly made, and are total pieces of shit. The Metroid series isn't that well known to most people anyway, even though the series has sold well. Casual people will be more intrested in other game to movie adaptations they know of, like Super Mario Bros. (Shudders), Street Fighter (Shudders), and Mortal Kombat (Surprisingly good...).
