Ugh! What is up with this shit?

I hear many people saying they won't see Matrix Reloaded because they didn't understand the plot of the first one. What was so hard to understand about the first one? The story was pretty simple and straightforward.

Look, I can understand how not everyone will "get" Memento, or Donnie Darko, or Mulholland Drive. But some movies aren't complicated, they just require you to actually get off the fuckin phone or stay out of the damn kitchen and actually sit down and watch them, (yup, and "pay attention") to understand.

Be happy, Justin. Fortunately for us, we're not idiots. We should pity those people who can't understand something as simple as The Matrix.

Like the wise Britney Spears once said...

"I don't like movies that require me to think"

Keep in mind that almost 50% of the population has an IQ under 100, and the attention span of a flea.

I don't mind really. Less people blocking my view when I go to movie theaters to enjoy these films.

Someone actually told me they didn't get the movie American Beauty. What's not to get?! Unless you are either stoned, stupid, or making out with your cousin while trying to watch the movie there's nothing mind boggling about it.

Well I didn't like it either, but it's not that I don't get it, I just don't know what's so great about this movie. I think it was "ok", but not Oscar material.
Maybe I need to be american to understand it.

I couldn't understand the Godfather or Rain Man, maybe that's why I hated them so much!!:

Some people are just stupid. However in the case of The Matrix I'd have to say that if you're concentrating on the main plot you should get it. But if you're somehow trying to tie all of the empty headed philosophical mumbo-jumbo spewed out by Morpheus and expecting it to somehow tie in with the plot it won't. It's space filler between all the action scenes best not to listen to it if you don't want to be confused to badly.

I totally didn't get Freddy Got Fingered.

Haha.

I don't mind people not understanding the plots, or whatever, but what annoys me is when they just won't understand no matter how many different ways you explain it. I had that problem with explaining the order of Pulp Fiction. There were a couple people who just wouldn't grasp how John Travolta came back to life. Hopefully with some patience they will understand. Otherwise, it bugs me too.

Yeah I understand what this post is all about. I was dating a girl and she wanted to see the Matrix. We spent 140 minutes watching the film and I spent 1400 hours trying to explain it for her.

I hate this also

my brother watched the end 20 odd minutes of alien resurrection a couple of days ago, and asked about the baby alien, when it was all explained then, i gave him a filthy look and ignored the fuker, hes pretty stupid and one of those people that hates a film if it doesnt contain constant action or guns and tries to develop the characters (such as the Relic (an excellent film IMHO))
