Are You Down With Love? COURTNEY LOVE that is? Since her old band,Hole,split up last year, the singer/actress/extrovert is looing for a few good women to help her form a new one. To this end, Love has placed ads in newspapers in New York City & Los Angeles inviting all and sundry to take their best shot. Her requirements are simple" : "Must Play BASS or GUITAR (Really Play) and look like a goddess." Oh, and NO BOYS, " (It's getting so you can almost smell a reality show about ti happen, isn't it?
The band will tour in support of Love's new solo album "America's Sweetheart", which is due out this fall.Love shows a certain savviness in drawing on the pool of musicians who aren't personally aquainted with her. Since shes has been known to get into fights....(well im ending the article here)


Do you think a lot of women will be flocking up to Courtney? Thoughts?

I was actually hoping that Courteney would go ahead and do another collaboration with either Lori Barbarro or Kat Bjelland.. Two lovely Punks who co-wrote some of POTI's lyrics and fronted in their previous bands..
(one was called SugarBabyCrystalPoweredByGod!)

It looks as though she's going to do something nice and altruistic for a change... and chances are it wont even be them playing..!

"Celebrity Skin": the few GOOD songs written by Billy Corgan (well-known fact)

Courteney Love: talentless, unpleasant leech and publicity hound. Riding the coattails of a dead man. Desperately trying to keep the world from forgetting that she`s still around.

BTW, she sucked in "The People VS. Larry Flynt" (she played herself, what a difficult role there). And she sucked in "200 Ciggerettes" (but in her defense, everybody sucked in that movie, even Christina Ricci and Dave Chappelle)

P.S. - Have you people seen the documentary "Kurt & Courtney"? If not, you really should. It paints a not-so-pretty picture of Miss Love (on the inside or the outside).

Sigur - he 'helped' write the songs "Celebrity Skin", "Malibu", and I think one or two others.

Billy Corgan also helped write some songs on Marilyn Manson`s "Mechanical Animals".
