Actor Sizemore Arrested for Intimidation

Actor Tom Sizemore, who was charged in March with hitting and threatening a woman, was arrested for investigation of intimidating a witness.

Sizemore, who pleaded innocent to the March charges, was arrested after allegedly threatening the witness last week, police Officer Adriana Sanchez said.

The 41-year-old actor was released Thursday after posting a $100,000 bond.

An emergency protection order also was issued Thursday, barring Sizemore from coming within 100 yards of the witness or contacting her, Frank Mateljan of the city attorney's office said Friday.

Police and city prosecutors wouldn't reveal the witness' name, but the television program Celebrity Justice reported that she's former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss, Sizemore's ex-fiancee.

Sizemore allegedly left messages on Fleiss' answering machine threatening to knock out her teeth, kill her and harm members of her family, Celebrity Justice reported.

His attorney, Robert Barta, didn't immediately return a telephone call seeking comment. His publicist, Michelle Bega, said in a statement that he and Fleiss "have had a turbulent and unhealthy relationship."

At the time of his Thursday arrest, Sizemore was free on $2,500 bail, after pleading innocent to five misdemeanor charges domestic violence, battery, violating a restraining order, making criminal threats and dissuading a witness.

A woman told police on Dec. 7, 2002, that the actor had punched her in the face and threatened her. Officers went to an address the woman provided and took Sizemore into custody.

The actor has appeared in films including "Natural Born Killers," "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down."

If he's guilty then he deserves what he gets. But if it is true then it is very unfortunate because he is great actor. I still remember him from Heart and Souls. He was so likeable in that movie. And of coarse he's great in pretty much everything he does. Very sad that he would throw away his career like that if he is indeed guilty.

Sizemore seems like the loose cannon type. I mean who would date Heidi Fleiss? He was most likely drunk out of his mind and decided to make a few calls. Or, if he really did do it and he really does wanna kill her I hope that he deosn't get any jail time. He really is a great actor.

This really fucking blows for me as well as you guys. Sizemore has been my favorite actor for the past 3 years now. From True Romance (1993, 8/10) to the best NYPD Blue rival, Robbery Homicide Division...I agree with you ilovemovies, it's very sad that he would throw his career away like that.

The charges are piling up for Tom Sizemore after prosecutors in his battery case claimed he tried to intimidate his ex Heidi Fleiss by toying with guns during phone calls. Prosecutors claimed in court in Los Angeles yesterday that the clicking heard in tape-recorded messages the actor left for Fleiss were those of a semi-automatic weapon. Black Hawk Down star Sizemore, who is in court facing a number of charges stemming from an alleged beating that took place at his Hollywood home in December, could now face another six charges following on from Fleiss' testimony. The actor now faces a list of charges, which include domestic violence, battery, threat of bodily injury, dissuading a witness, violation of a probation order and inducing false testimony. Sizemore has been served with a court order to stay away from six different people and Los Angeles' City Attorneys have demanded he turn over any firearms in his possession.

Hearing all this - I wonder if it was a factor in CBS pulling the plug on RHD so quickly. If it went down as the prosecutors say, I'm sure people on the production knew about it. Even Mann didn't put up much of a fuss when the show kicked, and Sizemore was vital to the show.
