Well it pisses me off.
I've been wanting to watch BLUE VELVET for ages now, when it was finally on I thought I'll set the timer (it was on at 12.10am) but wake up this morning to find nothing taped.
Anyone else with me....

Bullet, did you shut your VCR off after you set the timer?

Happened to me once when I was trying to record Halloween. Fucking annoying.

I don't trust timers, just like I don't trust alarm clocks, and just like I don't trust call-waiting in an emergency.

Never happened to me. One time I accidentally set it to AM instead of PM, but that was like 5 or 6 years ago.

You've got to get a Tivo. Those things are pretty great and they are becoming more affordable now. It records when you forget to tape if you have a season pass.
Although, there have been a few times Tivo has let me down. When a show is changed on the schedule or is premempted by a speech or a ball game the Tivo won't pick up on that. It only records according to what it's tv guide says. But once you've been burnt by that you can learn to compensate. Over all a great system.

I would consider getting a TiVo if they didn't have a monthly charge.. That totally blows it for me.
