I can't believe the amount to rubbish they put on DVDs.

Fair enough the odd one or two have good extras, but the majority are rubbish.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

Extras or not, DVD's still beat VHS tapes. If DVD's only had the movie and nothing else, I would still buy them, because they last forever if you take care of them, the film doesn't look any worse after repeated viewings, there is no re-winding, you can jump to a scene, they have subtitles and captions so you can listen to music or do something else while watching and catch dialogue that may be hard to understand, I can freeze frame and zoom in on nude shots, or anything for that matter, if I want to see something in the background, or what time the actor's watch really says, etc... DVD's are far superior, no matter how much garbage they put on some of them.

I agree with Brock. DVDs absolutly kick the shit out of VHS. It's the same thing with audio CDs.

I agree. I really really get mad when they call it a special edition and all it has is a trailer and chapter search. But my "Hannibal" DVD rocks so I still have hope.

I'm sure most of the dvd's out there don't allow you to zoom in or change camera angles and it pretty much sucks, coz it would be quit good to view it from a different perspective.
But i mean, an extra on a dvd is just a bonus to the movie, and so be it silly or not, it's still the superior foramt!
