"The manager of 'lesbian' pop duo t.A.t.U. has been arrested on the set of the band's latest video shoot, accused of disturbing the peace.

Ivan Shapalov, 36, was detained in Moscow's famous Red Sqaure after arranging for 200 teenage girls to cavort and kiss in front of Lenin's tomb and the church of St Basil.

According to reports, police received complaints about loud "squawking" from the teenage extras, who were fighting amongst each other to have their photos taken with t.A.t.U singers, Julia Volkova and Lena Katina.

Shapalov was later reprimanded by a judge as the court heard that The Kremlin had twice turned down his request to make the video on Red Sqaure.

Last week Shapalov was banned from filming near Big Ben in London after Metropolitan Police deemed the shoot 'inappropriate'.

Filming of the video - which is due to be screened during the girls' forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest performance - was cancelled yesterday."

This guy gets sicker and sicker.

How does he keep getting away with all this?

I mean...is he doing anything legally wrong (with all the girls and paedophilia stuff)??

The guy is sick.

I second that! It's NOT sick...

I think the main reason the morons have a problem with it is just because they are prejudice against homosexuals. They say it's "inappropriate", whatever, if it would have been guys and girls kissing it wouldn't have been as big of a deal. Some people in this world are idiots. Prejudice people should be shot.

What's inappropriate is this asshole put this band together as something for adult men to canoodle. And come on, he arranged a huge teenage lesbian kiss-off. Now, at the risk of sounding discriminatory, you people don't find something a little wrong with this? It'd be different if a group of teenage lesbians put this together themselves, then I'd support it. But it was put together by a 36-year-old male who admits he makes lesbian entertainment for older men. You guys must have blinders on your eyes to be supporting this. I'm all for equal rights but there is a line to be drawn!

Well, my problem with it is the reason why they couldn't do it. I'm not saying I support him, I personally just wish he would go away and they'd get a different manager. But, the obvious reason they aren't able to make the video on Red Square is because of the same sex activities going on. These people are obviously discriminating. They say it would be "inappropriate."

Because this is in Russia you have to take into account that it probably is 'innapropiate' for any sort of mass kissing or whatever they were doing. I would need to see evidence that it is because of the homosexuality factor. I beleive that if it were heterosexual kissing it would still get the same reaction.

Also, to go more on what Nate said, this guy is the lowest of the low. He is pure scum IMO. The fact that he exploits these girls supposed lesbianism, (not sure if I believe it myself), for his own gain is sick. Plus, the fact that he is known pedophile makes it even more disgusting. I'm sick and tired of hearing about these two girls, and can't wait for them to realize that they're the next one hit wonders. But, judging by the completely disrespectful and egotistical interview they gave to Blender I doubt they'll ever realize that.

.

No, that's not the case. In Russia, when you're filming something, you have to be prepared for local mafia interference, meaning you have to have substantial protection monies at your disposal. Shapovalov simply couldn't cough up enough green to pay the mafia. What happened has nothing to do with deemed innapropriateness of public kissing etc. There's no such thing in Russia. Red Square is a popular festival spot that draws hundreds of thousands when big bands are set to play. They have all kinds of mass activities all year round.
