O.K. As I said, I was dying to see this movie, so I was glad to see this movie 1 week before it's opening. Well, let's just say I wasn't disappointed. I laughed my head off in this movie. This is hilarious! This is one of my favourite films of the summer. Anyway, the story is about an eccentric billionaire(John Cleese)puts a special coin in six slot machines. One of them is vacationing with his family, one an NHL referee who is hated for making a bad call on a game, one idiot, a mother of a daughter who reunited with her daughter after 27 years,a foreign immigrant, and a guy who never does bad things. Cleese gives each of the six people one key to a locker in the Silver City train station in Silver City,New Mexico. The number on the key is the number to a locker in the station which has a bag with 2 million dollars cash inside it. The first one to get it wins all the money. There are no rules. While the people are trying to get the money, Cleese and other billionaires are watching them for entertainment, having bets,(which are ridiculous)and betting on who will win the money. They each have a way of travelling, some bizarre, some not. Who will win? Well, this movie is freaking hilarious! I don't know why some people don't find this funny. This movie is supposed to not be a smart, intelligent comedy. This is a "it could never happen" comedy where they want you to just relax and laugh your head off. But, every movie has its flaws. *spoiler* Why not make an ending where somebody wins? And why make the movie end with Smash Mouth singing All Star? That song's too old. Another flaw is Rowan Atkinson who goes from funny to dumb to annoying. Overall, I give it an 8 and recommend that everyone should see this film. I'm gonna go see it again when it opens.

You don't know how some people could find it not funny. I feel the exact opposite. I can't understand how anyone could find this horrible movie funny. The Hitler stuff with Lovitz; you honestly found that funny?

I did find parts of this funny, some even memorable scenes in comedy(the truck and the satellite, the monster truck scene)but I did find this funny. I think the director wanted the viewers to just sit down, relax, and enjoy the show. I for one enjoyed it. They know it's not gonna be another brilliant comedy. When you see this from the beginning, not much happened with the humor until the race started. But I have to say Dean Cain has a very underused cameo. I bet no one could remember him in the trailer. And yes I did find the Nazi thing funny because what are the odds that *spoiler* you would steal hitler's car,get a motorcycle gang to bust it up,a cigarette lighter to go in your mouth while it's lit, crash your car into a stage that celebrates the veterans for WW2,have a hitler mustache on,start trying to explain that your mouth is burned but it sounds like your speaking in German, give them the finger trying to explain that you burnt it,and giving the Nazi salute. What are the odds of THAT?

Exactly. It could and would never happen. Only in a movie. And it is tasteless and stupid. Painfully unfunny. The movie is painfully unfunny. The characters are all annoying morons. It's not brainless fun, just brainless. Big difference.

O.K. Let's just leave it at here. You don't like the movie, I do. If someone disagrees on the board,we just say that everyone respects each other opinion. So I'll respect your opinion, and you can respect my opinion. BTW, arguing won't change our views of the movie, won't it.

No, but arguing is fun.

I've argued too much in my life, which doesn't make it fun. It would be nice if I enjoyed it. But the big question is: Does Joblo like it?

I'm sure as long as you back up your arguments with supporting reasons (which you did), everyone will like it /ubb/biggrin.gif

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm very anxious to see it. I just hope that it isn't too similar to it's grandfather, 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

The movie isn't a remake of It's a Mad World,I think it's Zucker's take on it, like Tim Burton on POTA.
