What is diffrent and is it worth the purches if you have the first relesed DVD?

no, i dont think it is, the 12 mins just provide some backstory to micheal myers and Dr. Loomis, my advice is to just rent it unless your a hardcore halloween fan.

As a huge Halloween fan, I would have to say that the extended version is an absolutely essential purchase! Although not strictly the story Carpenter wante to tell ('cause he would've done it in the first place if it was!), it's still a decent addition to the Halloween mythology and bridges Halloween 1 and 2 very nicely.

The footage itself largely consists of a sene in a courtroom with Loomis trying to persuade a Board that Michael should remain locked up forever, a scene with Loomis and a young Michael in which Loomis tells him that he knows he is just waiting for the right time to make his move while Michael sits there catatonic, and of most interest, after Michael's escape, we see a scene of Loomis inside Smith's Grove finding where Michael has scrawled 'Sister' on a blackboard.

I rented it...It's ok..We didn't really need to know it yet..
