This is sort of open ended becuase I don't konw who to address it to but quite a while ago when theyre' were the threads where someone would pick 3 songs and everyone would review them for a week someone had the song Oh Comely by NMH. I just wanted to thank that person in hindsight, because damn if that's not good listening.

So to whomever you are...thank you...

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Pick up the album if you can. It's one of my all time favorites :) Oh and there is a live recording of Oh Comely availble on the cd by "Jeff Magnum" the brains behind NMH. It's also an excellent cd :)

I have recently been listening to In The Aeroplane Over The Sea a ton and for some reason I forgot how brilliant this record really is. Does anyone know what the hell Jeff Magnum is up to these days? If my memory serves me correctly this came out some time around 97 or 98. I need more Magnum!

He's retired with no plans to reform nuetral milk hotel. He did some cd full of bulgarion folk music or something along those lines but I've yet to hear it.

Buuuuuut due to popular demand Magnum released a live cd under his real name Jeff Magnum which is really really good. Also there are some earlier nuetral milk hotel cd's which are worth looking into. :)

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is one of my favorite discoveries, which I just happened to come on after clicking about 15 "if you like Belle & Sebastian" links on Amazon.com

The minute I came to JoBlo I began preaching their praises, only to discover the well-versed bowieee already doing it (as always ;))...and they deserve every word of it.
