View Full Version : Rush Hour 2
Just saw Rush Hour 2 today and must say it rocks!!! It is about and hour and forty minutes of pure fun. More laughs and definately more action. All the best elements from the original and multiplied by ten. By far the most entertaining film of the summer for me. And is it just me or does it sound like the Rush Hour franchise is going to take over the Lethal Weapon legacy of funny buddy cop movies now that a third movie is already planned for 2005.

Good they can probably outdo themselves in the 3rd one. I would say this is bar none the best movie of the summer. For 1 reason:
First movie i have been fully entertained the whole thing and walked out of the theatres just thinking about the movie 9/10

Hell yeah! I love this movie. It was the best movie i have seen in a long time. It was funny, and very uplifting. I left the movie feeling better than i did when i went in. It was great! And i definitely think that they can only make it better in the 3rd one!

Rush Hour 2 is great! You can't stop laughing the whole movie, and even when the moves over you'll still be laughing! Not only that, the outtakes are hysterical! Wow, I'm gonna have to see that again!

God, and I thought I was the only one. This flick FUCKIN ROCKED!!! I liked the first one, but LOVED this one. JoBlo was right though, if you don't like Chris Tucker, you'll hate this film! Anyway, this was easily the best movie I've seen this summer, and definitely on my top 3 for the year so far. I give this film an 8/10, I loved the mindless interesting action-packed plot, and Zhang Ziyi was amazing, not only as a martial artist, but also just looking fine on screen. Damn that girl is hot! The outtakes were hilarious too, my favorite was the one where Tucker's cell rings.

Good movie - I agree, although the balance seems to have changed. In the first one I felt Chan and Tucker were equal in the film. In RH2, Tucker was truly pushed to the forefront. Bottom line though, it was generally entertaining. Anyone know how old Chan is now? Pushing 60?

You're absolutely right, Freesafetyblitz. If you hate Tucker, you'll hate RUSH HOUR 2. I hated RUSH HOUR 2. Tucker is the most annoying screen presence since, well, Tucker in the first RUSH HOUR. I don't get it. What's so funny about fingernails on a chalkboard? That's what Tucker sounds like as he endlessly shouts racial insults at everybody within camera range. Jackie Chan, on the other hand, is a decent actor in search of a much better script, one that's not a mere excuse to showcase his stunts, which are getting rather tiresome. Poor Zhang Ziyi. Or, should I say, poor little rich girl? Isn't it too soon for her to be selling out?

I loved this movie too. A rare sequel that is better than the first. You get to have your "moo-shu" and eat it too with this terrific flick.

Max, it's NEVER too soon to sell out for $$$! ***SPOILER*** Anyway, what do you guys think about the ending setting up a sequel (Chan and Tucker flting to NY together)? I'm pretty sure the next one will start at a Knicks game in NYC's Madison Square Garden. I'd LOVE to see a third installment of this film. I just hope they bring back that delicious Puerto Rican goddess of a secret service agent (Roselyn Sanchez - that was a hard name to find).
