The Cell from New Line's Platinum series is a good DVD. The flick should be viewed in widescreen DVD format to gawk at all the images, sets, lighting, and costumes. If you can get past the fact the story isn't to original it is a pretty good flick. The menu is animated and it contains some deleted scenes, one that concerns the woman trapped in the water filled cell as she struggles more to breathe while it fills up. It was worth buying for me. It also has commentary by the director Tarsem Singh, but I haven't gotten around to listening to that yet.

The movie's good, and here are the extras:

Director Commentary,Production team commentary,8-10 deleted scenes with director commentary,documentary with people reflecting on Tarsem's work,6 special effects vignettes(the hoist,Edward's world,first entry,second entry,Novak's entry,Catherine's world)with 3 multiple angles,isolated score,teaser and full trailer,filmographies of cast and crewm,empathy test,brain map,and a computer game trailer. It's a great DVD. I wonder why Drew didn't review it?

Honestly, I would not even bother with watching The Cell ever again. It is a ridiculously bad movie. Who cares what kind of extras it has. But hey, why don't you just rent it and check it out.

by the mixed reactions of the fellow shmoes, it looks like you should rent it first to see if you like the film. i thought the movie was alittle plain in story telling, but the visuals were great. pretty good movie along with a good dvd.

In my opinion the film is so-so (plot too reminiscent of an old flick called Dreamscape for my liking, a much better film in terms of story). I enjoyed it but I'm not bothered about watching it again. The extras were good though (I rented it).

I thought the film was OK, and was entertained by the extras, so it follows that if you really like the film then I think you'll really like all the extras.
