I hate people talking during movies. If they're trying to do it quietly, I don't mind. I'm talking about when people say things really loud or yell at the screen.
The worst experience I've ever had with this was on Monday, when I went to see Reloaded. There was a woman with her kid sitting in front of me. Not right in front of me, they were a few seats away. Anyway, this woman was talking through the whole movie. When Neo first appears, she said, really loud, "That looks like Keanu Reeves!". Her kid only talked once. That was halfway through the movie, when he asked his mom to please be quiet, to which she replied "Oh, shut up". Then, when SPOILER
TO BE CONCLUDED flashed at the end of the movie, this woman yelled out, "Oh no they didn't". I felt like yelling at this woman. I hate it when people do shit like that. I wanted to tell her that obviously, they did, and saying they didn't wasn't going to change the ending. People like that shouldn't be allowed in movie theaters.

I had the same problem when I watched the same movie. I actually had these three high school geeks besides me talking about how the Matrix was some computer program...blah blah blah. I looked over at them and told them politely to shut up, and they did. I also had this guy sit next to me who said oh shit each time something big happened. That was cool.
It does piss me off when people talk though. When I saw Road to Perdition, there was a mother daughter combo (old people). The whole movie the daughter had to explain to the movie to her decrepid (sp) old hag of a mother. Why spend 8 bucks to not see a movie, and piss off the rest of the viewers.
Oh, Yeah...If you have a nervous twitch...sit on the damn floor. Don't make my fu##ing seat vibrate the whole damn movie!

Yes, this is very frustrating. I remember seeing a movie years ago and there were a bunch of teens talking loudly- the last few lines of the movie went unheard cause the kids were enjoying a laugh. People were not too happy, although no one spoke up.
My grandmother is guilty of talking loud during movies- I either ignore her or shoosh her to which she gets mad. She doesn't get it so I limit the numbers of movies she sees and try to take her to the 5 pm matinee- no one is ever there.

She didn't know Keanu was in the movie? Wow she must be a special kind of stupid. A great mother too
When I saw Reloaded the worst thing that happened was some guy yelled "Shut the F*ck up!" during The Archietect scene. Also this one guy brought his laptop with him and started watching Anime while Reloaded was playing! The worst was when I went to see The Ring. I had a teenage brat in front of me trying to show off to the girls. So he would make a stupid comment or whatever trying to be funny. During the ferry scene *Spoiler when the horse jumped over the railing into the ocean End Spoiler* The guy started cracking up and clapping like a seal VERY loudly. So I kicked him in the back of the head. He got up and wanted to "start something" with me. So I politely pushed him and he fell down the steps (it was stadium seating) People cheered and the girls he was trying to impress..laughed. I was pissed cause he made me miss part of the movie Grrrrr

Sometimes it is bad:
When I saw The Devil's Backbone, which is suposed to be a serious atmospheric horror drama, there were 5 teen girls that seemed to have got drunk for the first time in their lives, and were spending the time until they get sober to go home with their parents in the theater. They spent the whole damn movie laughing, yelling, talking, making jokes... it was... like SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU MOTHER FUCKER BITCHES!! http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/fighting/fighting19.gifhttp://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/fighting/fighting10.gif
God, i'm still angry about that! They fucked me (and all the other people in the theater) the movie, although we all were telling them to shut the fuck up!
But i have to admit that sometimes it's good, and even necessary:
When i watched Independence Day, the movie was so bad that the people in the theater were making loud jokes about all its ridiculous things... and it was deserved! I still remember the time i laughed out loud when a friend of mine made it too. It was the scene when they have the spaceship and someone says "But, who could be able to pilot it?" and Will Smith, that was behind, goes ahead and says solemnly "I can!". My friend yelled: SWAAAANK!!! And the whole theater was like http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/1/happy32.gif

It happened to me when lord of the rings (TTT) came out *I usually watch a movie after a month when it comes out in theaters so it's less crowded* so anyways during the scene in helms deep this guy starts talking in his cell phone so I tell him to be quiet nicely he ignores me *there were about 10 other people there also* so I tell him shut the fuck up biatch so he shut's up and after the movie he comes up to me and says that was disrespectful so i say so what so he leaves and I tell the manager what happened so I got a free ticket to see it again. :)

That's exactly what I was thinking. My guess is, her kid had seen the first one and she took him to see it because he wanted to.

One time, I was watching a movie with a bunch of friends (my friends are teens, and are therefore stupid), and they wouldn't shut up! I'm sitting right in the middle trying to pay attention as popcorn keeps flying right by my face, and the giggling of the girls I was with wouldn't stop. The guy behind us told them to shut up. I felt so embarassed to be with them, I'm never going to the movies with them again...

oh god, how much can i agree to this rant?
ALOT!
example....ok, i was seeing signs, and during the first half of the movie, these two teenage boys were like "isn't that the guy from gladiator?" "whats wrong with his lip?" and they kept talking. then my friend next to me kept talking to make them shut up, but they didn't hear her (which was just as annoying) then, i turned around and said "would you shut the fuck up?" very firm and loud enough for just them to hear me. and they did. but it was still annoying. (and i didn't move cause the theatre was very crowded)
another time my friend brought another friend to see a movie (house of 1000 corpses) and the guy (the friend she brought) kept repeating things the people in the movie were saying, and then when something funny happened, instead of laughing, he'd clap and say "that was funny"...and it was really getting on my nerves. i would have moved, but it would have been rude....but gr....it was so annoying
i really don't understand people who like to ruin a good time for other people? it happens to me so often i feel like i have a sign stamped on my forehead that says "if you're annoying, sit by me"....gr
