I would've included Angelina Jolie, Kirsten Dunst, Tobey Maguire, and Meg Ryan, but here's what I think of your list..

JENNIFER LOPEZ - I think she's a great actress, sure she isn't that nice of a person and a REALLY poor singer but watch U-Turn, The Cell and Selena, she's great in those.

TOM CRUISE - I find him irritating to no end. He was good in some movies but in most of them he just plays himslelf.

BEN AFFLECK - Good actor and all around likable guy.

JULIA ROBERTS - See Tom Cruise.

BRAD PITT - Brad Pitt is overrated? I think he's a fantastic actor, very versatile and talented. The man deserves a oscar by now.

So it's between Julia and Tom for me, but I dislike Tom Cruise more, so he gets my vote.

Personally, I don't find any of the actors/actresses mentioned in your poll "overrated", especially Brad Pitt, who's a great actor and one of my favorites, along with Tom Cruise. I won't vote.

Both Pitt and Cruise are not the best actors in their generation but they definitely have star presence and given the right material both can deliver exceptional performances, ie Fight Club/Magnolia

ditto, one of my favorite actors (Brad Pitt) is in it, while J-Lo has some pretty cool flicks (Out of Sight comes to mind for me), Tom Cruise has several movies i like (Minority Report, Vanilla Sky, Magnolia, Jerry Maguire, etc), Ben Affleck is decent (if solely because of his many collaborations with Kevin Smith on the View Askew series), and even Julia Roberts has recently taken to being in Steven Soderbergh films like Erin Brockovich and Ocean's 11...

However, unlike dh, i'll still vote, if reluctantly for Roberts.

I don't think any of them are overrated. Cruise has always been underrated as an actor. Yes, he's a movie star but his work in movies like Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire, Magnolia, Vanilla Sky and Minority Report among others proves he's a superb actor. Brad Pitt I've always admired because of the interesting roles and movies he chooses like Se7en, Twelve Monkeys, Seven Years in Tibet (if you can overlook the awful accent you'll find a solid performance) and The Devil's Own among others prove what an interesting and good actor he is. Ben Affleck has been excellent in Changing Lanes, Daredevil, Good Will Hunting, Dogma, Bounce and Forces of Nature. Ahh, and then there are two of the most hated people on this board. Jennifer Lopez and Julia Roberts. I do not share all of your hatred toward them though. Roberts is terrific and radiant and wonderful in Pretty Woman, My Best Friend's Wedding, Erin Brockovich, Runaway Bride among others. And Jennifer Lopez has Selena, Out of Sight, The Cell and Angel Eyes.

They have all proven worthy of their celebrity status, IMHO.
