Apes DVD to be 13 hours long!

Fox has just announced information on Tim Burton's Planet Of The Apes..


Disc one will contain the full film, plus optional access to behind-the-scenes clips, detailed analysis of special effects, cast and crew biographies, audio tracks by composer Danny Elfman, and DVD-ROM features accessing storyboards and screenplays.

Disc two will contain an HBO documentary on the making of the film, five extended scenes, makeup tests, multi-angle features, trailers, a music video, television spots, and the featurettes "Simian Academy (Ape Movement)," "Face Like A Monkey" (A Day In The Make-Up Chair), "Costume Tests," "On Location In Lake Powell," "Chimp Symphony Op. 37" (Behind The Scenes On Scoring The Film), and "Swinging From The Trees" (Stunt Work)," Fox announced.

Now this has just turned into one of my MUST BUYS!

I--DO--NOT--THINK--SO! Before I go crazy, did you actually like the movie in the first place? Well, I'm not a fan of the movie, to say the least, but I wouldn't want to buy it just to see the special features. And I only buy the movie if I liked it, but this waste of money and time didn't cut it, sorry.

I liked the POTA remake but not enough to buy it. I do really hope they come out with a SE 1968 Planet of the Apes.

The Elfman commentary alone would be worth it for me (fantastic score Danny); everything else is just icing on the cake.

I thought "Apes" was a very good movie. But with all the other films coming out at the smae time I won't purchase it. I think "The Phantom Menace","Dr. Dolittle 2","Shrek","Evolution","The Grinch","Almost Famous","Pearl Harbor","Jurassic Park 3","Scary Movie 2", and "A.I. Artificial Intelligence". With all those great films deserving money there is no room for an okay film.

The original will always be the best and to hell to everyone who had their hand in remaking this movie. They should have left well enough alone! I cannot stand remakes!
