Troubles continue to mount for Whitney Houston -- her husband, Bobby Brown, is now in the news for absconding with a gambler's money.

Whitney has furiously denied her alleged bloody-nosed rush to a Las Vegas hospital last Thursday had anything to do with her reported drug problems.

And now more curious details of the couple's time in Vegas have emerged. Brown was in town to support Whitney during her Wednesday performance on VH1's "Divas Live" concert at the Bellagio Hotel.

According to FoxNews.com's Roger Friedman, the singer was approached in the Bellagio's casino by a high-rolling gambler who had an urge to play with a star.

The mystery man reportedly gave Bobby $5,000 to gamble with, which Brown soon vanished with.

A source tells Friedman, "Bobby split with the money and couldn't be found."

Hotel security was called, and Brown was found dining alone in the back of a restaurant in the Bellagio.

The source concludes, "He was escorted back to his and Whitney's villa to explain everything. When Whitney found out, she hit the roof, and the two of them had a terrible fight."

This could be wrong, but I've always heard rumours that Whitney's gay, and Bobby's "on the payroll", so to speak. He's bearding for her because she wanted to a) have kids and b) project a straight image to the public. It could explain why they've stuck together so long.

I heard another rumour that, years ago when she briefly dated Eddie Murphy, she asked him to marry her for the above reasons, with the added c) marrying a star as big as he is would do her career good.

I think she has a great voice, but not much else, and certainly not many brain cells. She should put a leash on her husband.

You may not be too far off. My aunt worked directly with Houston about ten years ago and said that during the concert rehearsals she was making out with one of the dancer chicks left and right. She said that it was something everyone knew about, but kept "hush-hush". Not sure if it was a one-deal thing or for keeps, but she definitely experimented.

I am not surprised at all. I NEVER knew what Whitney saw in Bobby Brown. He was the most annoying from New Edition. He hasn't had a hit since "Don't Be Cruel" album and he still thinks he's the king of R&B...yeah ok...whateva....

Whitney is so easily influenced it seems. I think Bobby initially wanted to control her with drugs but then she on her own spiraled out of control.

I am ashamed to call her a fellow NJ gal. I used to like her as an artist and now...you couldn't pay me to go buy her music. She's a disgrace.

The one I truly feel sorry for is their daughter Bobbi Kristina. Poor girl...got too wackos for parents!!!!!!:mad:

I saw a clip of whitney singing at some concert recently - was it divas or something? Anyway, her voice was horrible. She was cracking and screaching out her song. What a waste! She had it all- beauty, talent, fame, money- too bad.

I have the old cd of Bobby Brown Don't Be CRuel- loved that Cd, but he is hopeless. I, too, feel bad for their little girl- she is really cute- hope she can overcome her parents' troubles.
