Superman Cain wins joint custody battle

Former Superman Dean Cain has been granted joint custody of his son Christopher after an 18-month battle with his ex-girlfriend. The thrilled 36-year-old will now be allowed to spend more time with his two-year- old son. Cain filed for custody from actress Samantha Torres in December 2001, but she claimed he was an unfit father. Cain and Torres split before their son was born.

18 months? That's pretty damn long. I was a bit surprised he was claimed as being an unfit father, because he seems like a nice, down to Earth person, and a loving father, but i'm glad everything has worked out. The only thing i'd find unfit about Cain would be his shaky career. Only a handful of good films, although his upcoming role in the Denzel Washington thriller Out Of Time might help.

How could she get away with labelling him an "unfit father" if they split before the baby was born and he's probably only had visitations with him?

She probably just made up a bunch of stuff and assumed she would win because she's a woman and they almost always win custody battles. Something in the ballpark of 80-90% of the time if memory serves.
