I think the title of the thread explains a lot of it but incase you didn't read it the question is Which celebrities have you seen that you don't know?
I live in LA where you see Cleebrities all the time! I started this thread because I saw Leonardo Dicaprio riding in his nice silver Mercedes Benz the other day. I've also seen many other celebraties like:
Tom Cruise - He's like 2 feet tall!
Nicole Kidman - I remember this one because I listed Tom Cruise but this was when she was done with him, I saw her at a Concert I went to with my cousin.
Warren Beaty - I saw him at a wedding
Jennifer Coolidge - The same wedding (I was psched she was in Austin Powers!.. Plus I already knew that)
Martin Sheen - I'm preety sure it was him.
The Rock - We got to meet him while he was filming Scorpian King
Simon Cowell - he shrugs when I asked himwho would win.. Justin or Kelly?
Jimmy Fallon - Whoopdie doo, he sucks on SNL.. Just like the new season.. Sadly.
And the people I saw wehen I go too the movie premeirs and watch:
Rupert Grint
Emma Watson
Hugh Jackman
Coolio
Millis Ethridge
Brian Dunklemen
Arnold Shwarzzenager
Mel Gibson
Julia Roberts
Brad Pitt
Matt Damon
Uma Therman
Chris O' Donnel
Have you guys every seen any celebraties in person? If so post!

I frequently see celebrities in my line of work, but if you're talking about on the street (away from the film set)...in the mid-1980's I lived in North London, and around the corner from Robbie Coltrane (Cracker, Harry Potter). I used to pass him in the street all the time on my way to the shops. I didn't even realise it was him until I caught him guesting on an episode of "The Young Ones".
All I can remember is, he's a very big man...he's not only chunky, he's rather tall.

The only celebrity I've ever met was a local celebrity here in Manitoba, Al Simmons. He is a children's entertainer who has appeared on T.V. My life sure is lame, isn't it?

I've done a number of "grunt" jobs in film & TV - production asst., AD, cable-dragger, rigger, dolly crew, floor manager, etc. Currently I'm Jane-of-all-Trades for a small OB/production company in Sydney. I do everything from assist on shoots to managing the company accounts, to keeping our shared house tidy (as much as that's possible, it's packed with film equipment).
I've appeared in front of the camera as well, but I'm not telling when or where (it's too embarrassing.... ).

I'll PM you, this is getting off-topic.
And no, I can't....I'll never, ever reveal where you can see me onscreen! It's not porn or anything - I just don't think I'm very photogenic. :)

I saw John Corbett in a bar in Seattle while he was still appearing in Northern Exposure back in the 90's. Umm...that's about all the celebrity-dom I got to see with my own two eyeballs.

At a Laker's Playoff game a couple years back I sat next to Ali Larter, Minnie Driver, Mina Sorvino. That same night I talked with Matthew McConaughey.
In LAX Airport I ran into Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction while he was taking a piss. Then he took my friend and me to meet Carmen Electra right outside.

Sorry to gloat...but "Hagrid" was chatting to me just the other day...;), Mr Coltrane that is.
I 'had words' with the rest just last week...
Elton John
Chris Eccleston (Shallow Grave, Let Him Have It, Elizabeth, Jude)
John Savident (Gandhi, A Clockwork Orange)
Robert Powell (The Italian Job, Tommy)
Samantha Morton (Minority Report, Sweet & Lowdown)
Bernard Cribbins (Casino Royale, She)
Savident was a cunt, as per usual....Powell was pretty cold funnily enough, I didn't speak to Elton (shame :()...the rest were TOPS, particularly MORTON, a very decent lady whom I managed to have a pretty decent chat with.
She likes The White Stripes!!!
Yay!!!

Met Frank Booth... errr, Dennis Hopper last year in some posh art gallery where an exhibition of his photographs took place. Had a little chat of about 5 minutes with the man and he seems to be a really cool, friendly guy.
And you can spot see Robbie Coltrane and Billy Boyd almost every second day somewhere in Glasgow.
And that's already the end of my adventures with celebs... pretty poor, eh? :( ;)
I saw Bif Naked in a sushi place here in Toronto, George costanza from seinfield (his name evades me right now) filming a movie at Union Station downtown Toronto, and al pacino filmign another movie downtown toronto, or at least i think it was al pacino

The most recent, and nicest and approachable, "star" I met was JUDE LAW. Others on my ist are ...
The "really nice" ones...
-Morgan Freeman (The most debonair gentleman I've ever met)
-Steven Spielberg (Surprisingly friendly. He has no clue just how big of a star
he really is)
-Kim Fields
-Damon Wayans
-Cynda Williams
-Giovanni Ribisi
-Bill Campbell
The "weird" ones...
-Keenon Ivory Wayans
The "rude" ones. (Maybe they just had a "bad" day)...
-Whoppi Goldberg (Mad because she's the only Oscar winner to ever be on the Hollywood Squares.)
-Tia Carrera (Mad because everybody else got to grow up as somebody else and she got stuck with herself)

John Rhys-Davies is great; Gimli is taller than me ;)
My ex's best mate is in Byker Grove.
Not film-related but Chelsea Clinton bundled into me the other day.
I should really move to Hollywood I think...

The only good thing I can remember about Birmingham is A) GREAT curry houses and B) the birthplace/home of Jasper Carrot.
And you wanna talk about worse places to live? Try living and working on a shoot in the Glendosa Valley, NSW, Australia at the height of summer. If the big spiders don't scare the crap out of you, and you don't faint from the never-ending heat, the wombats and wallabies will finish the job... ;)

Last week Ethan Phillips came to the theatre I house manage. He's long-time friends with the house director, and I've heard he comes to every production.
Anyway, Phillips is by no means famous, but he's one of those That Guys that are recognizable in that vague way you can't place.
http://imdb.com/name/nm0680392/
Incidentally, our current production features Joey Piscopo. His father came opening night (I wasn't working) and, from what I heard, he was totally cool and went out of his way not to overshadow his son. Made a nice donation, also. Joey's way cool, too - he never mentions his father to seem like a big shot or anything. (And he's a Yankee fan too! :D )

The only celeb I really met was Desmond Harrington and i'm head over heals for him! He's really friendly and sweet, but we chatted for about 5 minutes! *Cries*
Saw Melissa S. and Robert P. at the "Love Object" LA Premiere with Des.
Got to see some actors while being an extra in the film "Raspberry and Lavender"
I got autographs from friends and family because they met celebs: Linkin Park (I hate you Zack!) George Clooney and I sent Chris Kattan a letter and got an autograph back!
Erm, I saw that one kid from that Disney show "My cousin skeetch," or something saw the voice actors for Veegeta and Krillin of "Dragon Ball Z" and my mom works for a local band called "The Fenians" who I've met a couple times...
I think my mind has gone blank!
Someday, I will be in the movies...Oh yes I will!

I've met politicians and the Harlem Globetrotters. The only celeb I met was Todd Haynes (Far From Heaven). He was screening his films, then he had a Q and A and then I met him. I asked him a really dumb question too about Portland. :::kicks himself::: He was nice though, down-to-earth.

Since I live in Finland, it's pretty hard for me too see/meet any celebs.
But some of you know might know local bands who have made it pretty big abroad, mainly in Europe. The list includes Ville Valo of HIM, Raymons Ebanks of Bomfunk MC's, Lauri of The Rasmus and Darude. I've chatted with all of them. Nice guys, all.

I merely "meet and greet", make security passes, check green rooms, dressing rooms...joey about basically...but I meet a few COOL peeps.
