Watched American Beauty last night with the commentary. High recommendation. The commentry is superb, and Sam Mendes uses his words very thoughtfully. Very enlighting, well worth getting your hands on to be honest.

I definitely need to do that one day. Especially considering it's like my favorite movie. I wish the dvd had deleted scenes and more extras. I feel we was robbed!

The only thing that BUGS THE CRAP out of me is that Sam keeps refering to deleted scenes... Seriously, he keeps saying, "You'll see this scene on the DVD"... and they aren't there!! I WANT TO SEE THEM!! Grrr...
OTHER THAN THAT... A great commentary...

A lot of commentaries refer to deleted scenes or outtakes that are nowhere to be found on the dvd, i pisses me off also.

It was a great commentray. I've watched it twice with the commentary. Alan Ball barely says anything though. Mendes does all the talking.
