Guys...I was looking at the technical information of the dvd and I found that the only "special features" for the movie were the theatrical trailer and the cast biographies. That sucks...I was really looking forward to some sort of commentary.

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass if it has nothing but the movie, because once I get it I will play it over and over and over again... mindfucking myself into oblivion http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

"Confirmed extras include include an IFC interview with filmmaker Christopher Nolan, Tattoo gallery, the theatrical website, filmographies, two trailers and one TV spot"

Well, the interview might be interesting.

... Those things ARE still in, right?

MAN oh man, Dr. DVDeeevious was right, this DVD is gonna blow! I can't believe a film this creative and original, with a website to match, would come out with such a lame dvd.

Yes, that sucks alright... but personally I think that I'll wait for the R2UK release because of this thing that I read at the r2-dvd project:
Anyone considering importing "Memento" from Europe may want to hold off for a little while. We understand that Pathe are working closely with the director of the film to make the UK edition very special. Exact details are still under wraps but at least one industry rumour suggests that the director (Christopher Nolan ) is preparing a version of the film which runs "real time order" as opposed to the order in the theatrical release. Pathe are planning a October 1st release but it depends on how much time is required to get the extras prepared. We really will have to wait and see what develops on this one.

It's gonna be a hard time to wait fot it, but if those rumours are true, I think that the wait will pay off somehow. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Drew...you know if those extras are still available? If they are hidden...please tell us how to access them. I guess we have about two weeks before we find out for sure, right?

Ok, I read at DVDFILE.COM what the DVD has. It's pretty much what the good doctor here told us, so it's not that bad.

It's got little notes about the film, trailers, tv spots, cast & crew, the short story "Memento Mori", some interactive tattoo crap, and an IFC interview with Nolan running at 24 minutes.

Hell, I'll buy it.

It will be a "double dip" ... (it's not official though)

I just saw a copy of the dvd that accidentally hit the shelves early in my local Barnes & Noble.

All of the extras that the Heart Collector posted are on the disc.

Hopefully the rumors of a second edition are true. I for one am going to wait awhile before buying this one (though I did love the movie)

Memento is the best movie of the year (so far) by a very wide margin.

Just bought the movie, but that damn web site extra is making my head hurt. Can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to do with it. Otherwise, it's one of my current favorite movies and is definitely a must buy. Who cares about special features when you have a movie like this?

CANADA

There are variations on the editions released. In the US there are menu selections for trailers, director interview, and the website. Canada edition only has the chronological selection (and French as a subtitle).

You don't want to know about the England DVD release.

I came across an interesting idea regarding the MEMENTO DVD in a different thread.

Here it is below:

That is a REALLY GOOD IDEA! if not a special 2 disc than that for sure. The title thing too, good call.

I'm grateful that they put it in chronological order but I hate the one scene at a time access.

I wonder if they have even thought of that or if anyone has attempted to contact someone about it?

We should all contact someone, at the website perhaps?

The canadian distributor DID do a chronological order version. However, that constitutes editing of the movie, so you need some permissions or some stuff, and it wasn't given to them, so they had to do the crappy menu selection.

I also have the Canadian version of the DVD. The correct chronological order of the film is a god-send!

It really helped to understand the flow of the movie. Especially with regards to Lenny's interactions with Natalie and Teddy. It was fascinating to see (more clearly) how Teddy manipulated him at every opportunity.

I would like to have gotten a few more extras, but the chronological order was great.

There's a version online in chronological order, or so I've heard.

We were still ripped off. Nolan's "FOLLOWING" will have chronological reordering and a commentary. MOTHERFUCK!
