I saw "From Dusk Til Dawn" for the first time about two weeks ago and thought it was brilliant. Though i'm lucky i have satellite coz being from Ireland te film wasnt to see the light of day over here. I thought the whole first half- gangster movie, second half-vampire movie was, well one hell of a twist anyway!!
I thought George Clooney, Tarantino and Keitel did a good job too.
What did you guys think??

I love this movie. It's so entertaining, full of cool quotes, kick ass action and heartwarming violence.
Not a horror masterpiece probably, but it's still one of the coolest movies of the 90's in my opinion

Great movie, gory, action packed, funny and some of the best quotes ever.
Spoilers warning (highlight to read)
The scene with Tom Savini turning into a werewolf is a classic. I just love the look on his face

I've always loved this movie. It nicely mixed horror and action, with ample amounts of violence and style. Tarantino and horror.....it can't miss.

I loved this film - It started off as a pretty good crime movie then in the middle all fucking hell broke loose! Tom Savini was class as 'Sex Machine' - his hidden pistol was a definate eye opener!

One of my favorite vampire flicks of all time....A big reason why I like George Clooney and having Tom Savini in it was just awesome.
Too bad the sequels were less than stellar.
And Salma Hayek dancing....So many reasons to love it.

i agree w/ the last 2 posts..Tom Savini is one of my heros i dig anything he has to do with..
it seemed like the sex machine character was a re-hash of his character in Dawn of the Dead..he even had the whip

Ill be honest, I thought From Dusk Til Dawn was one of the worst movies I had ever seen. The only part I liked was when Tarentino brutally murdered that chick in the motel room. That was the only part that I found remotely interesting and screwed up. I didnt even think it was funny. I sat in a room full of my friends watching it and there wasnt a one of us that thought the movie was worth anything. I was very dissapointed.

One of the coolest movies ever made IMO.
As others have already said, I love how the first half is a straight crime-drama, then all of a sudden out of nowhere, WHAMMO, it`s a genre flick!
Great cast, memorable characters, cool music, gore galore, cool set design, kinetic directing, everything!
Awesome opening credits sequence as well.
And the opening hold-up scene is a classic (I think Rob Zombie sorta tried to mimic it in "HO1KC").
KillerKlown77 - Sex Machine`s "crotch rocket" also makes a cameo appearence in "Desperado".
SisStrangSmoker - I also noticed Savini looks the same as in "Dawn" - I`m sure that was probably intentional.
