View Full Version : What's up with Adaptation? Any news on an SE?

Just wondering since this disc is barebones, i don't really want to buy it right now...it's my favorite movie of 2002, but I don't have that much money to spend, so I'd like to spend wisely (tho i gave up on both Vanilla Sky and Shawshank Redemption a while ago and bought both the barebones dvds though I've recently heard that Shawshank will get a 10th Anniversary SE in 2004...)...so anyway, just wondering, is there gonna be an SE anytime soon? I sure hope so, I loved this movie...

While I liked Being John Malkovich a lot (8/10), I felt Adaptation was just mindblowingly brilliant....I SO CAN'T wait for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind now...

So any news on an SE or anything?

No word on it now. I was pretty surprised that it's a Superbit title since it wouldn't exactly always make a big use out of it (like The Fifth Element), but there's been no news of an SE. I wasn't surprised that it was barebones, since the Being John Malkovich DVD wasn't exactly loaded with features (and the only "big" supplement involved Spike Jonze vomiting)

I doubt there will be an SE (or one with anything of worth on it). Both Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jonze are HIGHLY private and such. I'd pick one up for sure, espeically if it had my dream commentary on it (Kaufman/Jonze). But i wouldnt get my hopes up.

i stood in the store the other day with this damn thing in my hand for like 10 minutes wondering the same question. I really wanted it but I'm very into extras and I loathe double dipping.

So, I'm standing there debating and my daughter's like, come on Dad, we've been here forever. Seat is starting to bead on my forehead, my pulse is quickening, I am thinking, why didn't I search this our before coming to the store? I could always come back, but I want it NOW!!.

So, I bought it.
