This is one movie I'm glad I passed on at the multi-plex. Because it's not a bad rental. At just the right running time(92 minutes) Old School is basically about frustrated thirty-something guys experiencing what is known as a "second adolescence".
Luke Wilson toplines the cast as your common faithful and dedicated husband who returns home early from a conference just in time to see his wife's sexual fantasies(menage' a trois) transpire right in front of him in their bedroom.
This leads Luke and his two best buds, Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrel to start a fraternity where age is irrelevant. Of course, things manage to spin out of control. Especially when college dean Pritchard(Jeremy Piven) tries every legal and illegal trick in the book to disband them.
Old School was fun school. It has good comedy and a scrumptuous looking Elisha Cuthbert from "24". Check it out if you want a relatively short comedy with good laughs.

I agree... and Vince Vaughn and Will Farrell are great in it, too.

OLD SCHOOL 6/10
After renting it today my opinion changed a little. It's still a fun movie but still lacks fun. I think this movie is for The Craig Kilborn generation ( while I am Conan O Brein). Guys who are close to 40 and still want to live it up will love this flick.
On the DVD there is a hilarious Inside The Actors Studio with the cast and Todd Phillips.

I am a big fan of Will Farrell. I actually went to the theaters and saw it, and i laughed the whole time. I love the parts when Vince Vaugh say's ear muffs to his kid. I give the movie a 8/10 for good humor and a humorus plot.
OLD SCHOOL (2003)
I didn't think it looked all that funny, and I was right, but it was still pretty damn amusing. I was entertained the whole time, and did manage to laugh out loud twice. The main scene that made me laugh out loud was the scene with the BJ instructor. And the other scene that I didn't find quite as funny, but still managed to get me to laugh out loud was the part with the tranquilizer.
In a way, the movie didn't feel complete. It kind of felt like a set-up for a sequel, so I must say I'm kind of glad they are making one. It has a good shot at being better than the first, since we won't have to get introduced to the characters or anything and we can just jump right into the fun.
Overall, I enjoyed Old School. The movie wasn't hilarious, but it was entertaining, and Luke Wilson was really likable as usual. I had a good time.
Grade: 7/10 (B-)

I thought it was funny as hell. Will Ferell, Luke Wilson and Vince Vaugn were great. My favorite part would have to be the streaking scene. 8/10

Great cast, great potential, dissapointing follow-through. I think this could have been insanely funny, where as this is just funny. Nothing TOO hilarious, just patchy with good jokes.
6/10- not the worst way to spend 90 min. and Vaugn and Farrel own this flick. Lukie Wilson gives a good subtle performance, and this movie has the funniest Graduate spoof I have ever seen. Rent it.
