Is it worth renting? What do you guys think of it? Is it chick flick formula?

It's different then any chick flick and i think it's worth the rent. It can be intriguing and Anthony Hopkins is great.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Truer words have never been spoken :D

Those two words are a perfectly good reason to rent a movie. Fuck, I sat trough Police Academy 7 for the same reason. And Meet Joe Black is slightly better ;)

Great soundtrack - worst Pitt performance in a movie. Still, a perfectly decent way to pass two hours and anyone who doesn't sniffle at the end is a harder man than I am. Poor guy, he just loved his peanut butter.

Actually I think his performance in Cool World is MUCH worse. But this is his second weakest performance. And strangely, Pitt is the weakest thing about this movie. Not his shining moment acting wise but I still love the movie. And Hopkins and Forlani are superb in it.

I thought the movie was a bit long but I enjoy watching anything with Brad Pitt (except Mexican) and Anthony Hopkins, and they were the strengths of this film IMO. 7.5/10

Though I didn't find it a poor movie, it wasn't great either. If it had been 2-2.5 hours I think it would've been a lot better. It did have an intriguing premise and you really cared about the characters. 6/10

I love MJB ... The plot, the cast ... perfect. Especially Hopkins, Forlani and Pitt who, IMO, delivered an amazing performance ... 9/10.

Meet Joe Black is really long and slow at parts, but it touches on every emotion. I didn't really understand the ending...I guess it was open for the viewer's interpretation? Without giving it away, can someone explain to me if Forlani knew what happened??

I rented the movie out today. Wasn't too sure if it was any good, but since there is a positive review from everyone, I think I might really enjoy this film. :D

I guess I am in the minority here, but the movie put me right to sleep. Good way to catch up on some zzzz's. Staring at beautiful people for 3 hours doing absolutely nothing and saying nothing noteworthy is not enough to hold my interest.
