I was just wondering: What did you schmoes think of the movie To Kill a Mockingbird? I thought that Atticus nreally did deserve top spot on AFI's list. The whole thing was masterful. Atticus was brilliant. Scout, Jem and Dill came off as believable, non annoying characters. I was just remembering it because of Gregory Peck's passing, and will definatley be the next film I pick up on DVD.

8/10

It's been awhile since I've seen it, but Peck and the child actors were great at their legendary roles, with a lot of memorable scenes. My complaint about the movie, to my recollection, was the pacing of it, which took me out of it a few times.

To Kill a Mockingbird...well, a lot has been said about this movie and I agree with most of it. I think it's an incredible movie, one of the relatively few I give 5 stars to, and is Peck's best movie...I own it.

A classic, that's all I can say, a classic.

I also recommend the book which is just as good.

One of the few films that is just as good as if not better than the book on which it is based.

Gregory Peck's perforemance was one of the best of alltime,he was a great actor.

The performances by the child actors were very good aswell.

I own both the movie and the novel by Harper Lee,It is a very good story on both film and paper.

Loved the book and the movie was just as good. Gregory Peck's turn as Atticus Finch is an exhilirating performance and truly deserved to be top spot on the heroes list. A tearjerker that will forever be remembered, and the last shot in the film is so powerful and goes along well with the brilliant and haunting score. 10/10

I remember watching this in English class a few years ago. I personally liked the book better, but I've learned a long time ago that whenever a book is made into a movie, I'll indefinitely like the book more. Always.

With that having been said, looking at it from a movie perspective, I'll say that I enjoyed it. A moving tale of a recluse and a black man accused of committing a crime against a white woman being misunderstood and persecuted for being different, and the heroism of the one man who stood up for what he believed. Greg Peck (R.I.P. :() gives a strong-willed and endearing performance as the much-revered lawyer Atticus Finch. Classic character. Classic film.

Not quite perfection in my eyes, but surprisingly solid nonetheless.

9/10

What can I say that hasn't already been said? A great movie. I gave it an 8/10, but it is VERY close to a 9. I need to see it again. Gregory Peck will be missed :(

It's a classic 10/10 movie, that I also own on DVD. It's Peck's best movie and performance. It's also one of the few films that are actually better than its source material.

I'm close to finishing the 10th grade, and acouple months ago finished reading the book for English, then we watched the movie, it was pretty good, actually. And that says a lot for me, I don't usually like heavy dramas.

7/10

Peck's performance was great, by the way.

If you saw it in school, may I recommend that you rent it and watch it again? School is the WORST place the watch movies for the first time. You might like it even more if you see it again, not at school. Or maybe not. That's just the way it was for me.
