Wow, deja vu...my boss, some of the crew and myself were having a conversation on this very topic just the other day. And, at the risk of sounding like a wet blanket, I'll tell you what I told them: I wouldn't take any of my favourite movie stars on a date, because I don't know these people, I've never met these people and most likely we'd have absolutely nothing in common. (Which makes for a very long, boring date.)

I suppose if you twisted my arm, I'd have to say Adrien Brody. We'd have a couple of drinks at The Oaks (my local), go to dinner at a nice restaurant I know in Circular Quay, then I've heard he's into hip-hop so I'd probably take him to one of the better alternative music venues in Enmore or Lidcombe. If I got lucky we could stop off for a night-cap where he might let me ask countless questions about what it was like working with Spike Lee, Roman Polanski, etc.

What I'd really rather do (we're talking realms of fantasy here) is have lunch with Jodie Foster. I think she's a fantastic actress and film-maker, and I'd love to have a long conversation with her about the work she's done, who she's worked with and what her motivations are when writing/directing.
