Bram Stoker's Dracula 10/10
All The President's Men 9.5/10

What are the schmoe's opinions on said movies? I love both. I will soon be watching MAX and viewing again Ghost in the shell (10/10).

Bram Stoker's Dracula (7/0 or B) was pretty cool but nothing really great. It was good, specially the performances by Winona Ryder and Gary Oldman. He was so scary!

Also, you gotta love that Beast-fuck scene. And Monica Belluci's cameo. She really shows off her talent in this one. And Reeves isn't too annoying I guess. Oldman makes the film though.

Love this Hoffman Redford gem directed by Alan J Pakula (Klute, Parralax View).

A stellar cast is given a great script to work from in the form of Goldman's tension filled tale. No Small feat considering we know what the ending has to be. Pakula's fine direction allows each scene to up the anti and teh suspense in this important movie.

Highly Recommended.

Francis Ford Coppolla's Dracula 8/10

Atmospheric, grand and miscast are the three words I would use to describe this flawed vision. None the less Coppola's interprutation of the clasic tale is so well shot and handled from every other point it's easy to list this as a somewhat guilty pleasure.

Minus keanu and Winnona it could have been a classic as Oldman's performance of the title charecter is absolute poetry in motion.

Bram Stoker's Dracula was well-made, but it didn't thrill me like I was expecing it to. I thought it good, but not fantastic.

All the President's Men I thought was fantastic. Everything about I loved, the script, the subject matter, the acting and the directing.

******WARNING: BRAM STOKER DRACULA SPOILER*********

bram stokers dracula is one of my favourite movies ever. it's in my top 10 of all time. its dracula told the way it should be, as a love story. oldman is fantastic and at the end you do not hate him, well i didn't, but are glad he is given peace. dracula really does go to great lengths for true love. this is the only movie, along with schindler's list, that makes me cry every time i watch it. if you really do love someone and they are your one true love, then you would cross oceans of time to find them. :( :)

********END OF SPOILER****************************

i haven't seen all the presidents men, so maybe i'll check it out next time i'm at the video shop.

later alligators,

Never saw President's Men.

I gave Dracula a 6.5/10, which isn't too bad. I thought the movie was well done with great performances (especially by Oldman, of course) and had some really great gore. However, the film did run a little long and a few parts seemed to seriously drag.

Bram Stoker's Dracula (7/10). Like sad man said, good but not great.
