'Two hours of my life...'

I am SICK of reviews where the reviewer starts off by saying, 'I hated this movie. I want those two hours of my life back.'

It's impossible to look at the IMBD without seeing this cliched phrase in every third review.

Why would somebody want to start their review with such an unoriginal sentence? I usually stop reading at that point. If they are too lazy to think of a new way to say they hated the movie - why should I make the effort to read the whole review?

usually, the person saying this would normally have only spent that two hours eating Cheetohs and pleasuring hoim/herself to internet pornography anyways...so not REALLY 2 hours of life wasted........

That's true. But depending on the movie, I think people would've preferred wasting the two hours doing something else. Like when I saw Freddy Got Fingered, I wish I had those 90 minutes back to beat myself silly for even considering watching it. But those 90 minutes are gone... too bad.
