Cheap DVD Player and DVD's with good quality

Where (online or actual store) can I order or get a DVD player that is cheap but is a good enough quality that it will last at least 5 years? And also a good place to get DVD's $17 or less? Nothing from England please, It would cost to much for me.

I picked up an Oritron DVD player a little over a year ago and haven't had too much trouble with it yet. I got it at Best Buy for $130, but seen it advertised even cheaper at Circuit City. I hope it lasts 5 years, but even if it don't DVD players are getting less expensive everyday. A friend of mine has the same one also for about a year and has had no problems as well.

If you find a place that has DVD's for the price range you are looking at let me know. Outside of the occasional sale here and there you can't get any well loaded new DVD for the low of price unless you bid on Ebay or something. Though you could pick up some previously viewed ones at Blockbuster. I've gotten some bargains there and haven't yet ran into the problem of them editing the movie. I'm still conivinced this is a urban legend started bys ome movie geek in some forum somewhere.
