"Eraser"

Plot: "John Kruger works for the witness relocation program as a U.S. Marshal. His job is to remove all traces of the identity of any witness in the program and to, as called for, eliminate threats against any of those witnesses. John works alone and is the best at what he does. When Lee Cullen, a high level executive with a U.S. weapons manufacturer, turns over evidence of illegal arms deals to the FBI, John is assigned to protect her. But they both soon find that the level of treason extends far past the Cyrex Corporation and into high levels of the government. John and Lee become the target of these dangerous criminals and their survival depends upon John's ability to protect both of them."

My Review: Chuck Russell's Eraser is Arnold Schwarzenegger's last big blockbuster and his best film in the last ten years. The cast and crew took a standard action vehicle, but spiced it up dashes of science fiction, comedy, and political intriuge. It is a spectacular and exciting roller coaster ride that everyone and anyone can have loads of fun with.
Schwarzenegger stars as John Kruger, a classic action hero. This not one of Schwarzenegger's better performances, but he is still charming and, of course, extremely bad-ass! Who can deny that it is awesome to see Arnie fighting scum bags with "hyper-velocity" weapons! C'mon!
James Caan is nasty as hell in the villian role. He is obviously having fun spouting these evil, evil lines. Also, I must say, if he had a moustache, he'd have twisted his off by the film's end!
Vanessa L. Williams is the only other main star. This is a rather bland performance, I must say. She gets the job done, but I watched this film just 15 minutes ago, and I don't remember much of her performance. Okay.
The direction is great. This movie is like candy for action fans. It has a mysterious plot that reveals it's secrets at the exact right time. The action sequences make your heart pound. Very, very tense. The action is also quite inspired with Arnold fighting alligators and jumping out of a moving plane after his parachute. LOL. :)
Overall, I can only say one thing. This movie is FUN! Not smart, but one of my all-time favorite actions movie. It makes your adrenaline rush. It makes you laugh. It makes you scream. Awesome film. Check it out.
