I get and DVDs and they is something wrong w/it!!UGH

[b]I hate when I buy or rent a DVD and there is something wrong with it. I've rented a couple of DVDs and there was something wrong with them like:Scarface,The Thin Red Line and Princess Monoke. I've also bought Scary Movie on DVD and it didn't work. Any one ever had this happen?

Renting DVDs can be a crap-shoot at best. I've actually rented DVDs that looked as if someone had gouged the disc with a nail. Very frustrating.

I rented Independence Day and chose the option to include the deleted scenes in the movie. But every time a deleted scene came up it would instantly skip to the end of the entire scene even content that was in the original.

It was a rental and the disc looked fine but I would have been pissed if I would have bought it.

I think the quality of DVD's has improved greatly but I think it has a way to go.

I only own two DVD's at the moment and they both work fine.

Once I rented "Rain Man" and the fucking disc wouldn't play because it was scratched!

I also have a story about "Requiem For a Dream" but I'll save that one for later.
