I saw the (region-free) DVD for this movie for sale on Ebay and was intrigued by the title and so I did some checking on imdb.com and other sources, and it looks to be kind of good.
The movie is about a shaolin kung-fu practitioner seeking a way to spread the word about his chosen art. He meets a down-on-his-luck lame ex-football player who trains him and his five brothers to play football. They form a team, and are soon entered in a prestigious tournament with a 1 million dollar prize.
Has anyone heard, read or seen anything about this film?

I havent seen it, but I have read about it on a few asian DVD websites. Its a comedy that features one of Hong Kongs biggest comedians, Stephen Chiau. It supposedly also has great special effects.
I had seen the movie in June.
It's a Hong Kong movie, produced by Hong Kong most famous comedian Stepen Chow, not surprising he also starred in it. This movie is the highest earning HK movie in HK.
edoline got the plot right. Stephen Chow is a Shaolin disciple who come to Hong Kong to spread the virtue of the Shaolin skills. In case you don't know, Shaolin skills come from the Shaolin temple in China, all kung fu and skills come from Shaolin like iron head skill, power leg kick, etc. Let's continue on the plot, Chow came to HK but cannot find any success. Then came an aged ex football star who taught him to make use of his Shaolin skills in football. In the end, they won the Cup.
This movie is quite funny but do not expect to see serious football in it. What you see are incredible goals and miraclous saves. But it's not that bad if you want to have a good time.
The special effects may not be as good as Hollywood but it's the best in HK.
Personally, I'll rate it 3.5 over 5.
