View Full Version : I'm mad at the Sci-Fi channel

Why, you may ask?

Because, for some oddball reason, EVERY time a movie on that station ends, they insist on fast forwarding the end credits so their precious commercials can have proper airtime.
When I say fast forward, I mean FAST FORWARD!
The end credits of films or shows move so fast, you can't read who to thank for all the 'minor' stuff that goes into making a film(gaffer, best boy, etc.).
I guess, on the whole, this is nothing to get TOO upset about, but, it's a warning for me to never tape anything on that channel.

But logic follows that if you tape it you can pause it and slow it down to read whatever it is you want to read in the credits... No? :p

All the basic cable channels do this: TBS, TNT, Comedy Central, etc. And ever watch a theatrical movie on ABC? Same thing.

People tape movies off these channels? Why would you want an edited version with commercial breaks? I can understand taping MST3K off Sci-Fi, but regular movies???

Well, if they aren't speeding up the credits, they're squeezing them to the side to kill two birds with one stone. Great, now the names are completely illegible. I'll admit it, I'm one of those neurotic people that sits in the theatre until all the credits are finished. Because in order to really let the movie sink in, I have to listen to the closing score. On television, as soon as I start enjoying the song, some asshole shows up and tries to sell me stupid crap! I'm gonna write a letter, maybe put an end to this.

Firtly, for the record, gay softcore only comes on Mondays. :rolleyes:

Feverdog, Showcase is a GREAT channel.. They're canada's best for arthouse flicks and such..

MST3K wasn't on yesterday, because they had a freakin' Hulk thing on, so they backed The Twilight Zone's time slot, put in the Hulk, and obliterated MST3K being on this weekend.

Sci-fi also has too many reality TV shows. It seems the numbers are increasing. But, im glad that dream show got canceled. Did it?

And why did they cancel the future of Farscape?

Im miss Lexx.

And, MST3K was canceled because the new fat cat of the company didn't understand the show.
