CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE - 7/10
After reading Joblo's review of this film (which wasn't a bad one, mind you), I still went in expecting be entertained. And that I was. This movie is nothing but mindless entertainment (and lots of eye-candy, yummmmmm...) and even though I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the original, I still found myself getting into its energy. I tell ya, there is nothing funnier than watching Cameron Diaz dance to "Can't Touch This." Classic. How can you go wrong with such a dynamic trio? And the action sequences were definitely a blast!
I will admit, the film did get rather sloppy towards the middle. They should have cut out the whole father/daughter backstory--that was completely unnecessary (well, with Matt LeBlanc mixed in it was kinda funny). There were just sooo many different characters, none of which seemed to really matter to me, except Justin Theroux, who was pretty great here, but more screen time would have been nice. The whole angle with Dylan's past was OK, but nothing more..seemed a bit unnecessary, but what do I know..I'm just a schmoe. :)
But overall, I had a ball watching this film. These ladies are HOT, funny, and kick a lot of ass. Being a guy, I can't say I know of anything else that could have made my day! :D

CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE - 2003
Cameron Diaz - Drew Barrymore - Lucy Liu - Demi Moore
Well, well, the third sequel this summer, and an other disappointment (after 2 Fast 2 Furious). After watching the first film, I was expecting an even better sequel, filled with more explosions, fight and humor, but instead I got only fights, which weren't good !:o
Charlie's Angels, the first one, had some kind of charm of it's own, for example the scene of Corwin's rooftop party, I found this scene pretty funny:
-Bosley's and Corwin's sumo fight
-Pete's (Luke Wilson) attraction to Natalie (Cameron Diaz)
Even thought the angels were on a mission, they still found time to entertain us with a little bit of humor.
"Great, I'll get tickets" Pete to Natalie
"I LOVE TICKETS" Nat to Pete
An other humorous scene was at the fast food restaurant where Dylan orders everything three times, and then we find out it was all for her.
And an other charming scene was Nat's conversation with Pete will trying to beat Vivian and free Bosley from the fortress at the end.
Including, the fight Crispin Glover vs. Lucy Liu was awesome.
What director McG tried to do, is put as much as possible of slow-mo, as a result the movie is filled with slow-mo and it's way too much.
With a great cast like Demi Moore, Rob Patrick, John Cleese and Matt LeBlanc (Friends' hilarious Joey), the movie only got to put up 1 funny-as-hell joke, the one with the "Alex's job" conversation between Jason (LeBlanc) and Alex's father (Cleese) and an other good joke, the one with "Helen Zaas".
They did a good job keeping some old habits, which were from the first movie
-Natalie's panties (those with Spider-Man on)
-Natalie's little dance at Pete's 10th year reunion (same thing in the first movie: at a club)
-Matt has the outfit the angels used to get the director 2's eye information to make contact lenses to infiltrate Corwin Tech.
However, I think the cameo's were pretty fun, Bruce Willis, Eve, Pink, the Olson twins and one of the original angels, but what was the deal of actually putting Bernie Mac as Bosley? Always trying to be funny, but seems he can't (he can, in Ocean's Eleven, but not in Full Throttle).
This movie has 2 parts that made me want to got to McG and smash his head against a wall for his stupidity.
1. The motocross scene, Nat is blown off her bike, miraculously, she land on an other bike, then jumps off and makes a perfect landing on an other bike .... COME ON
2. The END, first of all, what was all that Tarzan rip-off, McG, wires like those in the movie, can't actually make you fly through a whole street, but ... then all 3 girls make once again a perfect landing on Moore's car, then ... Dylan flies off into a car and Alex goes through a shop window, then the car eventually crashes and a fight begins between Natalie and Madison (Moore), Nat has a piece of broken glass in her ribs and Madison has a broken arm, even though they are both pretty badly beaten here, they still begin some kind of “mortal kombat” style fight. Since it’s a stupid movie, the two other angels arrive (completely intact) and the three of them kick Madison’s ass.
Finally [name removed by moderator to prevent spoiler] dies in a ridiculous way and the angels (Nat very badly beaten) all go the Jason’s Maximum Extreme 2 premier. Plus, they say the most stupid quote of the movie "Let's go party !!!"
Very, very realistic. (for those who don't understand I'm sarcastic, I am!!)
As a result, this movie is very very different from the first one, without laughs or charm, not a movie to see in theatres, rent it on dvd when it comes out.
My score for Charlie’s Angels is 8/10 :D
My score for Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle is 4/10 :(

Whoa, I was expecting this one to be ten times better than the first one, boy was I wrong. Dont get me wrong though its still an entertaining ride and well worth the money to see it, but it drags on a little to much. It's very funny but some of the stunts are way to impossible to happen (i.e. flying without wings). Still I expected some stunts not to make much sense. Overall I enjoyed this movie and would prob. watch it again but dont see it more than once in theaters thats too much.
Charlie's Angles: 8/10
Charlie's Angels - Full Throtle: 7/10

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle doesn't pretend to be brilliant filmmaking, nor does it take itself seriously. The movie is just that, a movie. It is fun popcorn that'll take you on a ride right from the beginning until the very end. There are some disposable villains, but who really cares when you have all of those amazing action scenes.
The three angels are all in top form here. Cameron Diaz makes Nat just as ditzy, lovable and "fluffy" as she was in the first one, although she wasn't very "fluffy" during her "butch" scene with that mullet. Drew Barrymore takes Dylan to new places in this movie, she is much more developed here than in the original, and I'm glad, she's probably my favorite angel. Her backstory was funny/cute and sad at the same time and yet believable. Lucy Lui, my least favorite of the three, actually got me to like her in this one. Sure, she's still a bitch, but a funny one. I especially loved the running joke with her dad, which I won't say anything about it.
Most of the new characters were underused. Demi Moore was pretty good as Madison Lee, but she was really given nothing to do until the last half an hour. She gave a pretty good performance, but didn't really have to try very hard to pull it off. Jason Patrick who was introduced early in the movie really had no purpose but to reintroduce Demi Moore later in the movie. Bernie Mac was pretty good as the new Bosley, but most of his humor was hit-and-miss. I liked all the cameos, especially the "future angels" one during Dylan's visions. And is it just me, or did Pink looked stoned during her scene?
When making this sequel, the filmmakers knew to take everything that worked from the original, and make it bigger and better. For example, the original's opening had the angels get a bomb out of a plane by skydiving and landing in a boat. This one has the angels rescue a hostage from "50 armed men," highjack a truck, drive the truck off of a dam to avoid a missile, and fly the helicopter off of the back of the truck (still while falling) with two of the angels grabbing on to the helicopter. The only problem with the bigger action scenes is that the CGI was pretty noticeable, a lot. "I know the angels weren't that gummy before they starting flying!" Ah yes, the "flying" scene, another tiny thing I didn't like. When did Demi Moore suddenly become Batman?
The "plot" really shouldn't be analyzed because there was no real plot. It was just the girls disguised in an extreme situation finding some evidence for them to use to get into new disguises in another extreme situation, with the occasional ass kicking. I didn't come in looking for an Oscar worthy plot that would really make me think, I came in looking for some pretty cool action scenes, some over-the-top disguises, and some occasional humor, all three of my wishes were met.

IN SHORT: Some more fun with the Angels but unfortunately not as much fun as the original movie
THE GOOD: Ok going in you have to throw out all reason, and believability out the door.Because we are about to watch these 3 ladies pull off stunts with aircraft, motorcycles, and assorted weapons, that go beyond what we have already seen in The Matrix Reloaded and X-Men 2.The aforementioned scenes were fun to watch,as the ladies try to recover 3 rings (Halos) that when brought together will reveal anyone in the witness protection program.I did smile at the cameos in the flic that includes celebs like Bruce Willis to female rapper/actress Eve.I also enjoyed Crispin Glovers brief time on screen as he returned as the Thin Man.I also enjoyed the sexual innuendo laced through the movie. And Lucy Liu as Alex is definitley my favorite angel.I also enjoyed the nods to other flics like The Blues Brothers, and Cape Fear.
THE BAD:Wow where should i begin?!? First off Demi Moore's part in this movie was way over hyped in the media. She is literally in this flic for about 15 minutes.I didnt even care about her final fight sequence with the Angels.I just wanted the movie to end.I couldnt help but have this feeling of been there done that watching the movie, even though it included the origins of The Thin Man(Crispin Glover) and Dylan Drew Barrymore. You never really feel the Angels are in danger because they are shot numerous times fall off buldings 30 feet high and walk away laughing.Even in the Matrix flics the characters can be injured in some way.nd why in some scenes do they have the smarts of Einstein and in others brainless specimens?? Especially Cameron Diaz !! The comedic talent of Bernie Mac,and John Cleese are totally wasted, they are reduced to looking bug eyed and appalled at the feats of the angels.Matt Leblanc plays the same dumb actor character he plays on friends, keep saving those hefty Friends paychecks buddy.
IN THE END:Wait for the video/dvd,see it in theatres if you're a big fan of,CameronDiaz,Drew Barrymore or that sexy cutie, Lucy Liu.Scale of 1-10 a 5 1/2 you have been warned!!!

[I'll make it short] The truth is.. after reading joblo's review I thought I was going to disagree with him because I was so sure that I wasn't going to be disapointed...but I was.
I dont consider it a bad movie... i guess i was just disapointed. I mean its a fun and enjoyable movie but I guess I was expecting more. I was expecting to like it a lot more than the first but I didnt. Dont get me wrong its got its "memorable" scenes and I love the cinematography in the fight scenes (how McG slows the camera, zooms in on the bullets or guns, etc). So during the fight scenes I was very entertained. But then again there are MANY fake sequences but its part of the movie. But the truth is it was just a pop-corn flick with a very weak, and expected plot. and I liked the first one ALOT more.

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle- A
I went with four of my best friends to see this for my birthday(which was actually on Thursday, but whatever), and I had high expectations since I enjoyed the first one. I knew exactly what I was getting into when I sat down and the lights dimmed, and I was pleasently surprised.
This is the summer movie that I have been waiting for all summer. Sure, I have T3 next now, but this was pure entertainment at its finest when I needed it. The opening sequence alone is worth it, but then we get so much more after that.
I was sure Bernie Mac was going to annoy me since I'm not a fan of his, but he was great(especially during the crossguard scene). My only real complaint about this movie was the character of the Thin Man. He was majorly under-utilized. They started going somewhere with him, and he began to develop a back story, and then BOOM!
SPOILERS
He gets killed, right before he was actually gonna talk.
END SPOILERS
I just didn't see the point of his character, and yet he was my favorite character in the first one.
Kick-ass music, great action, funny comedy, cool cameos, what more do you need in a summer movie? A plot? Yeah, there's a plot about two rings that contain information that the angels are trying to obtain. A cool villian? Yeah, but apparently you're not supposed to know who it is. HINT....Demi Moore. I enjoyed her presence on screen.
Something I noticed about this one is they don't focus much on Charlie at all. It was all Angels, but that wasn't a problem either. Anyways, that's my thoughts on it.

How fun was this movie! The first half was definitely a lot funnier than the second half, but it was still a fun movie throughout. The elaborate opening was hilarious (Thank you Cameron and her mechanical yak), and the three girl played off each other wonderfully, no doubt to their real life friendship, helping the bond between the three appear more natural. Cameron Diaz has mastered the art of the ditz, and here she was just as ditzy and as adorable as ever. She was indeed a surprise butch in the CSI take off, but she gets back to her sexy/goofy self in the eye candy scene at the beach and her cutesy bit at the high school reunion, love the toilet scene ('You were the cock? I was the beaver'). Drew Barrymore was given more depth this time around, and whilst Barrymore handled it well and it made her character a little more interesting, it did slow down the movie and took it a little out of it's fun vibe. But she still kicked ass when she needed to, and Lucy Liu looked stunning as Alex, a much more interesting and foxy angel this time round I reckon. I thought her misunderstanding about her career with on-screen dad John Cleese was a good laugh. On the topic of Cleese, the side characters were plenty, and I thought were all good, but some better than others. Luke Wilson and Matt LeBlanc were both adequate as the boyfriends, and I appreciated LeBlanc's bigger role. His Mission Impossible rip off 'Maximum Extreme 2' was fun. Justin Theroux was awesome as the evil, pumped up (damn dude!) scotsman. Loved it! Crispin Glover's return was a welcome one, though he was criminally underused, and just when he got interesting, things turned sour, but I dug him nonetheless and his surprising scene with Barrmyore was a pleaser, her hair bit was cute. Robert Patrick had a much bigger role than I expected him too, and I wasn't expecting his plot twist. Another thing I wasn't expecting was Bernie Mac to impress me. All the snippets I had seen from trailers and what-not, didn't amuse me at all, so colour me surprise that I liked him, and actually laughed at what he had to say, especially the beach scene, but his scenes with his family were unnecessary. The handful of cameos were amusing, much better than I expected, ranging from Carrie Fisher in a cutesy yet slightly disturbing Sound Of Music/Creepy Thin Man scene, to original angel Jaclyn Smith. I even spotted Jackass's Chris Pontius in there. But of course you can't go through a review of this criminally fun flick without mentioning Demi Moore. Welcome back sexy! It was a bit pointless of the creators of the film to keep her 'bad-girl' identity a secret, as throughout all the publicity for this film, it has been made rediculously clear that she is the bad girl of the bunch. Had this not been known, it still probably wouldn't of been too hard to figure out, although considering all the cameos in the film, she may have just been another one in the bunch. Still she looked damn fine, and played the bad girl Madison Lee to a tee. Her fight scene with Diaz towards the end of the film was the shit!, her unbelievable car stunt was a sight, and strutting around with gold guns and wearing sluttly attire were all appreciated. And on that note, the costumes worn by the angelic lovelies were mucho appreciated. From Diaz's hot white bikini to the burlesque show, everyone should have something to marvel out, and not be disappointed. Turn off your barain and enjoy this ridiculous but unbelievably fun popcorn ride. But if you didn't like the first one, skip it! Thankfully I loved the first one, and loved this one! Good work angels.

**Mild Spoilers**
This was one of the movies of the summer that I needed to see---I also needed to see The Hulk and I ended up walking out.
Charlie's Angel's Full Throtal, doesn't have a plot at all, but thats not a bad thing. The first didn't really have a plot and I gave it a 8/10 or B+.
This started out slow... too slow IMO. But it got all pulled together in the last 45 minutes. The ending was great. I couldn't believe Creepy Thin Man got killed right before he said something.
Demi Moore was great, but fans, don't see it just because of her. She is only in it for about 20-30 minutes. But thats okay. Cameron Diaz was great as well, and I love the scene where there just dancing, don't ask.
Overall, this is just cheesy fun. I'll buy this---only if it comes out unrated. But even if not, I still might get it since I own the first one.
MY FINAL GRADE: 5.5/10 or C

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle...is a fun, entertaining, high-octane thrill ride, that is pretty much just as much fun as the original. It doesn't have a brain in its pretty little body and it knows it!...you can certainly enjoy it on that level and I certainly did. I enjoyed the first one too Charlie's Angels(2000)-7/10...for its cheeky brand of humor, the fun outfits and disguises and the balls to the wall action scenes. The main reason I enjoyed the first one is the three angels themselves...they have so much fun giggling and dancing and kickin' ass...and yet they still find time to save a few lives. The only major downer from the first film was the inclusion of the untalented and unfunny Tom Green, but besides that it was a blast. This sequel is pretty much more of the same...Cameron Diaz as Natalie, Drew Barrymore as Dylan and Lucy Liu as Alex all return as the crazy and daring angels...up to their normal hijinks. The plot?! Well yes there is one...sort of! Two government rings which hold information on people in the witness protection program have gone missing and pretty much every crime syndicate is after them...we have all the cliches covered with Italian Mafia, Asian Yakuza, Columbian Drug Cartel and the Irish Mob...cartoon villains?! You bet! Justin Theroux plays Seamus O'Grady the leader of the Irish Mob and he has special interest in the rings and plans to seek revenge on a certain angel...who is also involved. This movie also features the much talked about return of Demi Moore. She plays Madison Lee a former angel now turned renegade. To me she should have stayed retired, because she adds nothing to this movie and her "performance" may just as well have been phoned in. This time around we also have a new Bosley in the often funny Bernie Mac. I prefer Bill Murray from the original but thats just me. Crispin Glover also returns as the cane wielding assassin "The Creepy Thin Man"...a very interesting character(although mute) they even develop more of his story, but he is underused here and just needs to be in it more. I also like the inclusions of guys like Luke Wilson and Matthew Perry, as the poor buggas who date/live with the crazy angels. Among the new editions and changes we have a bunch of cameos...some work and some don't, but all are pretty interesting to notice. Bruce Willis as a steely-eyed government agent, Pink as the organizer of a bike race, Robert Patrick as a deceptive spook, John Cleese as Alex's clueless and befuddled father and the Olsen twins in a funny dream sequence. This movie as you might expect is full of spectacular action and stunts and there a re quite a few scenes that I just loved. First there is a great opening in Mongolia involving an escape on a falling helicopter, a cool motorbike race called The Coal-Bowl, a good ass-kickin' fight at a shipping yard/dock and a high-flying(although somewhat unbelievable) battle at the end. Overall, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle is a fun, splashy and perfectly adequate sequel chock full of fun and action. It's as shallow as movie-making gets but it's fun as hell and the 3 angels, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu make it so.

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
I didn't know what to expect before seeing the second Charlie's Angels movie. I thought the first was a great surprise, and I rate it 8/10, but I had a feeling this was going to be a bit too much. Well it was, but it was certainly enjoyable. There were actually funny jokes in this one also (the car on hydraulics outsides Bosleys' mum's house, bosley blending in - smackin that chick on the ass with his surfboard). Some bits were a bit too over the top though, for example, the opening scene where they jump off the damn in Mongolia and jump into the helicopter, well that was when my hopes completely dropped. All the acting was good from my perspective, and I quite liked Demi Moore as the bad chick. She was hot too for a 40 year old. Good fun, but just not as good as the original. 7/10

Now i didn't really expect to watch a masterpiece when i went too see this film, but i was expecting to be mildly entertained. BOY WAS I WRONG. I counted 3 funny jokes in the whole film and one cool action sequence. Now i never thought i would say this but i was actually sick of looking at Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu by the end of movie...................(believe me that shows how bad it really is because they are two sexy ladies).
Demi Moore, (three years since your last movie..........better make it 10 before the next one). Alas the real problem here is the story, there is none, and the screenplay, there is none, and oh......possibly the direction, there is none. Charlies Angels 2 is around 30 short stories put together by someone who lets be frank probably can't believe he's being payed to direct three gorgeous women all day.......for that i am jealous of him.
I would go into ore detail but i'm feeling sleepy just thinking about it.
Charlies Angels 2/10........................the 2 is for the cool MC hammer dance routine.

Well, as a girl, I have to say that I feel like something of a freak for liking this movie (with all the half naked women running around, it seems this movie is geared mainly towards the guys out there). All the T & A shots/jokes did nothing for me at all, but overall I thought the movie was a helluva lotta fun! If you go in expecting anything but a braindead popcorn summer flick, you're going to be disappointed. Majorly. But seriously, that's all the first film was, and if you liked that one you should enjoy this one as well. The plot? Well, there really isn't much of one....bad guy is really a former good guy turned traitor. Original it's not. What makes this movie (and its predecessor) work is the camraderie between the three leads. These ladies seem like they really had a blast making these movies, and that enjoyment comes through 100% on the screen. In short, if you liked the first movie, you'll like this one. If you didn't, why are you even considering seeing the sequel??

I thought the first Charlie's Angels was OK. However, #2 was really a "number two." I was advised not to see this movie, but my theater had a .75 special, so I thought it wouldn't be too bad to see (especially for under a buck!) After the movie, I considered asking for my 75 cents back.
The best part of the movie was the beach/bikini scene with Demi Moore and Cameron Diaz. They both have great bodies, but the movie went down hill after that scene was over.
The CGI was bad in many spots….especially during the end of the movie with Demi Moore. It's OK to see the Matrix and Crouching Tiger movies getting ripped off a little, but it seemed that the director was more concerned about showing us how many whiz-bang effects he could pack into the movie - instead of actually creating a decent movie.
Speaking of Ms. Demi, I agree 100% with JoBlo. The trailers spoiled the identity of the "bad guy." So, why keep it a "secret" throughout the movie?
Was Cameron Diaz stoned during her scenes? I know she's sort of ditzy, but she was way too goofy for my taste.
There wasn't much of a plot. It seemed that people were introduced just for the sake of seeing a new face on the screen for a few minutes. The jokes were horrible. I could barely force myself to chuckle once or twice. The Helen Zass joke got real old - real fast. Also, it seemed like there was some quota that had to be achieved on the "classic" tunes that was laid down on the sound track, so the writers were forced to think of scenes to match the music, even if it had nothing to do with the paper-thin plot.
The choice for Bosley in this installment was poor. He was more distracting that useful to the movie.
Lots of scenes should have been cut, because they did not add anything to the already dismal story.
This type of movie is why I hate sequels. I say....3/10.

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003)
http://us.ent4.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/hv/photo/movie_pix/columbia_pictures/charlie_s_angels__full_throttle/_group_photos/cameron_diaz8.jpg
Starring: Cameron Diaz (Gangs Of New York, Drew Barrymore (Never Been Kissed), Lucy Liu (Kill Bill), Bernie Mac (Head Of State), Demi Moore (Ghost), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), Crispin Glover (Willard)
This was one of my most anticipated films of the year 2003. The first one is one of my all time favorite comedies (9/10) and the second looked even better, so I had high expectations for this one. And then I went into the theater to see this. After I came out, I was speechless. I had the best time in this movie in years, more fun than the original and more fun than any other movie this summer.
The story follows the Angels and their search for two rings called H.A.L.O that unlock the secret list full of people in the Witness Protection Program. But Natalie (Cameron Diaz), Dylan (Drew Barrymore) and Alex (Lucy Liu) have their work cut out for them when they discover their enemy is none other than fallen angel Madison Lee (Demi Moore), who wants nothing more than to kill all of them. Bernie Mac is along for the ride this time as Bosley, and makes the role much funnier than it was before with Bill Murray.
This is a pure adrenaline rush from beginning to end and all the actors show their best comedic talents yet. Plus the movie is packed from beginning to end with cameos and surprise appearances. I have never had more fun at a movie in recent years than I had at this one. By far the most enjoyable film of the year thus far, and maybe one of the best action comedies ever made!

Know what this reminds me of? Like on television, a series has this outstanding pilot, then afterwards, regardless of what the plot, every new episode is entertaining simply because it is carrying on the concept of this outrageous pilot episode. Seeing as this is a TV show-movie franchise, it's just like being episode two of the Angels' adventures.
From a solid movie standpoint, there is a lot of really funny and really cool shite going on here. From motorcycles to catfights at the top of buildings; from The Angel's doing MC Hammer to the humor of an undercreddited Bernie Mac; this movie is probably the perfect popcorn fare i've seen in awhile. And although there are flaws, I left thinking "not a bad way to kill a couple hours".
The flaws themselves, for me, mostly have to do with too much going on. There are so many underdeveloped plots and subplots and so many characters -- that it's next to Impossible to keep up with anything. (For one, that kid that was put under witness protection at Bernie Mac's house with crazy momma -- what the hell was the point in that? No hijinx follow that silly sub-plot). But this where you leave serious thoughts and comprehension at the door and just try to enjoy yourself.

Does anyone know what the hell this movie was about? I sure as hell don't! It's not that the story was deep, the writers just did a bad job at explaining it. Not only is the story bad, but it also has to be one of the corniest movies I've ever seen and they also made the girls way too good. I'm starting to think they could take on Neo. These were the reasons I hated this film at first and then when it neared the end I realized what Full Throttle was trying to be. It was trying to be a spoof. It's huge flaw was the fact that it was a spoof, but tried to hide the fact that it was one. Full Throttle did manage to have some funny parts and kick ass fight sequences so it's worth the rent, but there's better movies out there to see.

this was even better than the first one. this was really a comic book movie, i mean some of the outrageous stuff they had in this film. from the helicopter scene and the scene with demi moore flying and the angels following here ala spiderman, this movie was cool. loved all the cameos, although my favorite was john cleese, and the bit with jacyln smith. this was a great popcorn movie.
10/10
